How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room was small.
Great hotel, clean & modern, polite and helpful staff. Parking in the hotel for 15 euros a day. Convenient location.

Room could have been a little bigger as the double bed was against the wall so had to climb to the end or over someone to get out. Other than that everything was great!
Location was good the surrounding neighbourhood was lovely and had plenty of nice eateries and bars. Short walk from transport and only a couple of stops into the centre. Really lovely interior and staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

There were loads of channels on the TV but only one from GB.
The staff were very helpful. The bed and shower were great. Quiet, convenient location.

The only thing that it hasn’t satisfied me is the quality of the pillows.. Too high. I couldn’t sleep just because of it.. The comfort of the bed is great! Just needs to improve the quality of the pillows

Matress was uncomfortable, but it's only our opinion.
Everything was very good. Rooms are small but we had everything that we needed in it. Very clean and comfy. Excellent location.

the only think to improve would be to add coffee/tea in the rooms. also a bottle of water would be nice.
Overall the hotel, the room, the service and the location were very good. I would definitely stay there next time.

Rooms are very, very small, one side of the bed is up against a wall so bear that in mind if youre claustrophobic, and there was no toothpaste or self care products other than shampoo and body wash. We'd expected a little more for the price
The location was superb!! Its situated away from the main hassle and bussel in a gorgeous neighbourhood with pretty shops and a lovely park, if you go further up you'll get the the woods which was so pretty, and we had the loveliest day up there relaxing after a busy day in Central the day before.

This wouldn't be my first choice, but considering the circumstances (low availability and high prices on the dates I was in Brussels) this was a good value for money option. Small size rooms and the location is a bit away from the institutions.
Location is fine, especially if you like to go for a run, as it is close to a large park. Rooms are clean and the hotel is quiet overall. Nice and helpful staff.

Got a room with a connector door which was not very sound-proof. Could hear the people next door going at it the whole night.

I asked for a breakfast offer for my 12-13 y.o. students. Of course any answer is acceptable, but I never took an answer from the hotel. The glasses in the bathroom was paper made which never replaced after use.
The breakfast was OK. The stuff was excellent, The rooms was clean enough. The neighbohood was nice, quite and safe.

The room could have been cleaner. The floor was dusty and housekeeping missed cleaning all together one day.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a spacious quiet room on the top floor with a view over a small park. The decor was simple but nice.
