Property has great location near the city center and a public garage. Host, Dirk was great. He explained me everything about city locations and he even prepared map with markings of bakery, markets, shops and routes throughout the city. Also, I have received basket with fruits and a small bottle of champagne. The great thing are the bikes in apartment that I used to ride through the city. I had a great time. Thanks Dirk!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in this lovely apartment in beautiful Gent. Dirk was the perfect host and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Designflats to anyone, from the super comfy bed to the beautiful views.

Very nice apartment in a nice neighbourhood. The host Dirk was very helpful and made sure that the stay was 100%.

Minor points! Had to move a few things in the kitchen cupboard for storage of food supplies that didn't want to be in the fridge. Used the dishwasher and had trouble extracting a large dinner plate after the cycle had finished. I was worried I was going to break it but learned to stack at an angle!

Very friendly welcome from Dirk, who was a mine of information. The flat was very well equipped, everything had been thought of. Particularly good for clothes storage. Liked the toilet being separate from the bathroom. Extremely useful to have 20 minutes free parking (with ticket from machine) outside the accommodation, and a lift for loading and unloading. The car park was very close by, and great value. It was very quiet when we were staying, heard one person coming and going on one occasion; no external noise. We enjoyed walking to all our destinations. Some great local bars for a drink on the way "home".

Nothing could have been better. I had a wonderful stay.

The property was beautifully designed and equipped including an excellent kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was both cozy and airy, and very thoughtfully designed. The owner, Dirk, provided an ample supply of fresh fruit and nuts, as well as a small bottle of sparkling wine. The property was the penthouse at the top of the building, with an elevator making access very easy. The location was very convenient to the train station and many interesting sights. DIrk provided a map and recommended several places to visit.

Host gave us a lot of helpful information but is not actually available on the premises. The neighborhood can be noisy well into the night, but it isn't really a problem on the third floor.

The apartment is well-designed and all systems and appliances were functional. There is a working lift.

It is a very well designed and comfortable apartment. It contains all the conveniences and was well positioned for us between the railway station and the old town. Walking distance to everything. Dirk is an exceptional host who took time to to give us advice, maps and general knowledge of the area. The fruit bowl and piccolo of sparkling wine were greatly appreciated. Dirk also checked in during our stay to make sure everything was ok. The option to use bicycles was also an added bonus. Thank you Dirk.

Wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent property, with everything you could possibly need. Loved having the external sunshine blind to keep the apartment cool, as well as the black out blinds to help block out the morning sun when you want an extra hour in bed. Having the Bluetooth speaker was a bonus which meant we could listen to music. Loads of towels provided for our 7 nights stay. Loved the whole stay, beautifully designed and thought out apartment. Would highly recommend. Oh and the lift was an appreciated bonus after a long day exploring the brilliant city of Ghent.

The apartment is so very well designed. I was in Gent for a trade show at Gent ICC and the location was ideal. Dirk is every bit as kind, responsive and flexible as other reviews say! It was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful and functional apartment (congratulations to the architect!), Wonderful light and panorama, books on art and architecture. All very clean and well organized. Located in a beautiful, elegant and quiet street, near the University and a stone's throw from the center. The owner is very nice and helpful, he welcomed us with enthusiasm and cordiality.
