Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyHow easy you can hear the other customers walking or showering. The curtain was too small for the window. The shower was in a quite bad state, bad enough to where I didn't feel like taking a shower in it.
For a single night stay to catch the train or plane the next day, this place is fine for that.

United KingdomPillows were a little flat.
Just behind the Eurostar station very easy to find and great for travel. Basic hotel but nothing wrong with that. Was allowed to check in 2 hours early with no extra cost which was great. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

GermanyThe area was on the rough side of the city, the hotel was furnished sparsely and without charme or warmth. It didn't serve breakfast, which is okay as the station with a lot of bakeries was near. The large wardrobe only had one and a half hanger. The carpet between the reception and the lift was the dirtiest I have ever seen. I wanted to stay for only a night and not far away from the Eurostar stop, otherwise I would have backed right out.
It was very close to the Eurostar station. The staff was very friendly, the beds comfortable and the rooms very large. The shower was working and the cleanliness in the rooms was good.

United KingdomThe bathroom had rusty bits... The street was noisy and the road did not feel super safe (generally the area around Gare du Midi is not great). Useful if you have an early morning train.
Room was basic but clean. Bed was comfortable enough.

IndiaThe curtains were improper, one of the lamp was not working and the main light was constantly blinking. There were also no handwash at all. There was only one small soap for two people. Luckily we had our stuff and our stay was literally only for 10 hous so it wasn't that bad.
The location is very good. It is nearby Brussels Midi Station. It has 24 hr desk which was really helpful as we reached pretty late in the night. The pretty was also really comfortable. They did let us leave our luggage which was really helpful.

United StatesThis has had to be the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. Sirens, all night long, and guests who blasted music and smoked substances throughout the night as well. On top of that, because the halls were large and mostly concrete/tile, ever noise produced echoed off the walls and made it worse. The shower was also disgusting. Mold and mildew could be seen lining the space between the shower door rail and the bottom of the shower.
The room was decent. The shower had hot water and fresh towels and blankets were provided.

United KingdomThe decor is dated, there is no artwork anywhere and the bedside lamps didn’t work. Not the hotels fault, but the street outside is horrifically noisy and feels dangerous. Someone broke up a wardrobe on the pavement outside at 2am.

BelgiumWhen I took a shower at around 10PM, there was no warm water but when I woke up at around 5am it was back. I'm not sure the reason but it was very inconvenient.... Isolation is not so good because we can perfectly hear the people staying next to our room. The guy on the night shift at the reception is not friendly.
The location is near the train station of Brussels South. Very convenient to catch the morning train or bus. Good for one night stay
