When you have a large luggage and your room is on the upper levels, it can be inconvenient because there is no elevator.

I only didn't give a higher rating as suffered a sleep disturbed night due to a repetitive electronic noise that i could hear from my room, from somewhere else inside the hotel. I reported it, so hopefully no effect on other travellers!

4 floors without the elevator

The only things I would change are some of our bathroom towels seemed to have stains on them. I’m sure they were clean but still stained and the sheets were not changed daily (I know because I accidentally got mascara on a pillow case and it was still there when we checked out).

The staff were amazing. The room exceeded my expectations with the rain shower and heated floors. We didn’t book with breakfast included but the staff were more than accommodating and served us like a 5 course breakfast one day (at an extra, fair cost) and it was AMAZING.

A lot of stairs, and tiny stairs (but I knew it before booking, so it’s ok). The bedrooms were so hot, it was 22°C and it was impossible to sleep without a fan.

Great location, just a few minutes walking from the Grand Place. The staff were really friendly.

It is one of these old establishments that is good value for the money. the location is great, the desk is nice and helpful. the rooms are clean. good internet and nice interior decor downstairs. yes it can use some renovation but it is just fine the way it is. this was my second stay and i will definitely book again.

Very friendly welcome, great breakfast made to taste (it's not a buffet but you get a choice and it is baked fresh for you - in my case cheese omelet). comfortable room, big size bathroom. In the center near shops cafes and restaurants. nice art deco decor. Nice family hotel atmosphere.

We would have liked a kettle in our room. The one thing however that was actually bad was the common loo in the cafe downstairs, which was extremely smelly.

No lift did make 4 floors a little tedious to walk up with bags; however it was made very clear that installing a lift wasn't possible due to the historic nature of the building. I'm sure they would've helped carry the bags if needed! Food was quite expensive so didn't try any.

Unique art deco room, good value for money as we get superior room that had a huge bed and a large bathroom. Bed was clean and had large opening windows, comfortable chairs and a ottoman that could extend into a second bed (didn't use this bed). Stylish small bar at the bottom of hotel with friendly service and nice drinks. Location is good as close to large shopping street with a large selection of shopping brands. Fairly close to old town and walk there is pleasant.

The room was quite cold, and we had to blast the heat to get it up to temp. But besides that, it was great.

The staff was fantastic, super nice and accommodating. The location was superb, everything in the city was in walking distance.

Feels like a family run hotel. Very helpful staff. It's an Art Deco Hotel under protection, so therefore there is no lift.

The room and the hotel in general looks very old fashioned.

The staff was nice and the room was big. The hotel was well located, next to public transport, shops and the city center.
