Beautiful room in a very nice street full of restaurants but not noisy. The room was completely white which I love, it gives a sensation of calmness. The mattress was very comfortable, pillow a bit less for me (very personal). The breakfast was varied and good but they didn’t have vegetal milk that day. It would be good to have vegetal milk/drink on a regular basis a nowadays a lot of people drink it.

as mentioned in previous reviews - lots of steep stairs to get to room, we had duplex room at the top, further very steep narrow set of stairs to get to bedroom, unable to sit up in bed to e.g. readcdue to sloping ceiling, would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Room more suitable for those with younger legs than us!

I recommend the Maison Haute for its central location, for the excellent service, the order and cleanliness of the house, and the kindness of Sebastien and his staff. The orange marmalade is excellent. For older people, pay attention to the stairs leading to the rooms.

You can hear people walking around the building, but since it is an older building, it is to be expected. Really nice for the host to provide ear plugs in the room.

Love the breakfast! All the interior design details I love! Having a kettle and water near and in the room is really good for us!

Noise levels can be high but the room has double glass insulation and is generally well insulated. At night the supplied ear plugs were used and were useful.

Great location near lots of eateries, with the availability of bus transport or supermarket a couple of minutes walking away. Central station was a 10 minute walk away. The room was well decorated and spacious enough for our needs with the heating perfect. The accommodation is very clean, and all the staff are excellent. Sebastian was so helpful and was always contactable or available if needed. Breakfast was fantastic with muesli, fresh fruit, bread rolls and bacon and eggs available. A seperate room allowed guests to sit and relax with tea and coffee making facilities available. Laundry if required is about a 5 minute walk down the road. Lots of vintage shops in the area, and the area is good for a walk around to soak up some atmosphere.

Everything was amazing

The room was so nice and orderly and breakfast was phenomenal. The staff were so nice and attentive to anything we needed. This is definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed at. I would stay here again anytime.

Sebastian and staff were wonderful. We arrived in Brussels early morning and they stowed our bags and even offered coffee before we could check in. When we returned to check in our bags were in our room! We really appreciated this since our room was on the third floor (and there is no elevator). Breakfast is wonderful! Fresh breads were heavenly! The location is very convenient to everything we wanted to see. Sebastian also made a great suggestion for a local dinner spot.

I can't think of anything i did not like :).

The design was absolutely exquisite. The room and bathroom were making a very good use of space and had enough space to feel very comfortable. Close to a big parking option, walking distance (30min) to grote markt - good for sightseeing walk, too. Price was fair for conditions and location.

Everything was great but if I have to find small weaknesses and just for my personal experience: the place got a bit noisy in the morning (because of the thin walls/doors); the little table available in my room was not very comfortable for working at the computer and the room lights quite low but if you visit Brussels as a tourist the the room and the place in general are really amazing.

Amazing breakfast (fresh, individually cooked, home-made), cozy rooms and common areas (with complementary tea and coffee available), room with great furniture, super nice people, nice neighborhood.

Probably should have thought about the fact that 'haute' means 'high' . . . the walk uphill from Midi was a bit more than expected.

As others have said, location is great. Fun neighborhood with funky stores not far from all the main sights. Room was spacious with great views from the skylights.
