Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyAwful Wi-Fi connection! It is not because of connection speed, signal is going off too often. I did not get why they don't give slipper, please don't say environment. There was also not minibar at room and we knew it but when I see sustainability/environment as a cause, I did not like it. Belgium is a beer country and I wanted to stocked cold beer in my room, there was no variety at hotel market. At our last night, some noise and disrespectful group was arrived at 3 A.M, staff should have realized and warned them.
Location was great. Breakfast was beyond our expectations, if you are a breakfast person, add it into your payment plan. Our view was great even our window is at the corner of room. Our child loved the room because of bunk bed for sure. We could not use courtyard because of cold weather but I am sure it will be gorgeous at summer.

United KingdomVery disappointed the bar was closed and undergoing renovations - we were not aware of this at time of booking, do think we should have been told. Small self serve 'shop' in foyer also 'out of order'. Therefore there was nowhere to relax with friends when returning to the hotel, a real shame and for us, it was something that definitely took the edge off a lovely stay in Bruges, hence a score of 7/10.
Lovely staff and very helpful. Bedroom clean and very satisfactory. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Location could not be improved on.

United KingdomNo tea/coffee making facilities, no kettle, no bottled water, no fridge. Just felt a little bit soulless and corporate. We chose not to have breakfast at €20 per person, there's no way we would eat enough to justify that amount of money for breakfast. Single use plastic toiletries. It felt like a business hotel in the wrong location.
Staff were excellent. The location was great, directly outside of the bell tower. It was very clean, quiet and the room was turned over after our first night of two. Free WiFi.

NetherlandsCheck-in and check-out can be automized. It was a bit crowded both days, so we had to wait in the line.
Location was perfect, rooms were clean, and there was a pretty good breakfast. We asked a small change for the rooms while doing the check-in, and they immediately fixed it for us. We didn't use the parking place because the streets might be too crowded. But there was a parking garage in 5 minutes walk distance, pretty cheap as well.

Every time we left the room for the day when we removed the key from the wall switch to conserve electricity it turned off the refrigerator. I needed the refrigerator for my meds. so this was a little inconvenience. I just left the room card in the switch but when housekeeping came they removed it. So refrigerator turned off.🙁
The location was fantastic. Right in the center of everything. Easy walk to the restaurants, sightseeing and just people watching.
