How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Small room although it was a double room and I’m by myself, it’s alright for one person but definitely not for two, some tea and coffee or at least a kettle in the room would’ve been nice

No kettle in the room.
The room was very confortable and clean. Staff was great, we arrived early but our room was already done so we checked in before noon. The breakfest was great (paid seperatly) with many cheeses, fruits, and pastries options.

Did not like the shower because the glass partition is not wide enough to prevent spraying the floor outside the tub, no matter how careful one is (it seems to me that most European showers are designed very poorly, sorry to say), and did not like the very small closet, it is ok for a couple of days, but no more.
Liked the location, quiet but very central, check in very fast, very pleasant staff, cleanliness, very comfy bed and pillows, breakfast was very good value, good variety of breads, pastries and meats, nice set up for sitting, nice bar, great service.

I did not like the fact that the bathroom smelled quite bad at night (sewer smell) Lack of refrigerator in the room Relatively small room size, but quite acceptable
For me, the quality of the trip is given by the people I meet and the services they provide. In the past I often stayed at expensive hotels where I was completely put off by the impolite and cold manner of the employees, but this was not the case of Motel One. Everyone was very nice here- reception, bar staff. Everything went smooth and irreproachable. Politeness and gallantry NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE, and an institution's value relies on its staff. I never choose the same hotel for my travels, but next time I'm in Brussels I shall book Motel One once more. Other bonuses: great location.

It was so close to the city center, and other attractions in the city, no need to use public transportation. Also it was possible to drop off the luggage.

Location a little bit noisy with traffic outside. No tea/coffee making equipment in room. Room a bit on the small side.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient reception staff. Pleasant clean and comfortable room. Good shower and well-equipped bathroom. Good location for walking to tourist areas.

There was no Kettle or Coffee Maschine in the room. The amenities such as shampoo etc are not great. Very sparse.

The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room, otherwise it was great.
The location was great, close by there was convenient public transport and if you were in the mood for a 30min stroll, a number of famous sightseeing spots. The room was clean and comfortable.

If I had to name a point of minor criticism, it would be the busy atmosphere around breakfast. But that’s probably really a minor point.
Great central location an easy 10 minutes’ walk from the Geand Place. Quiet, comfortable and newly renovated rooms. Extremely friendly personnel. Relaxed modern atmosphere. What’s not to like?

Nobody at the reception don t offer information about what timo visit or what to do in city, they don t ask or tell as nothing, just make the chek in. They aren t give informations about hotel. Very small room. Very very poor breakfast

Perfect location, right in the centre, welcoming staff. The room was bright and had everything we needed. Dog friendly and a wonderful park nearby perfect for dog walking.

after booking i was informed, that there will be construction works in some parts of the hotel - first i was confused to not tell it before booking, although when staying, i havent noticed a thing or any noise from that so everything was perfect and fine. rooms are small but we anyway stayed most of the time outside in the city.
Clean, good located, friendly staff, nice atmosphere., perfect for a short stay. (we stayed the weekend). would totally recommend to stay here!
