How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was some confusion at check-in with my colleague - though I had no issues.
I didn't purchase the breakfast - however, it was very nice to enjoy the coffee! The room was on the small side, but serviceable, and not much time spent in the room. Great bar!

Not cheap for the size of room. Breakfast is much too expensive given there are no hot food options

I’m not sure if it’s a common problem or if it’s just my room, the Wi-Fi connection was terrible, it just kept getting disconnected and reconnected

Didn’t stay too long!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I really loved the decor and the attention to detail was impeccable. Everyone at the reception were very friendly and they answered all my questions with a smile. Also, the hotel was a 10 min walk to Rene Magritte museum. Would highly recommend to stay at this place.

The common area is nice to spent time and have a drink. Located quite near to the center and restaurants.

Unfortunately the parking underneath the hotel didn't open, so we had to park at Q Park Brussels-Pachego, which was a terrible experience. Terrible parking garage: stinks of urine, littered with glass and dirt, super dark. You'll want to get out of here quickly! However, the hotel cannot do anything about this.
Great hotel on a great location. Nice beds. Only missing some cups or glasses in the room. A small fridge would be nice too.

Outside of breakfast could use a little improvement, everything was great.
Good location and within walking distance to Manneken Piss, Grand Palace, the cathedral nearby and other places. Lots of food choices and the bar in the hotel was amazing. I have drank Hoegaarden which is a Belguim beer but the bartender recommended Blanche Bruxelles which was some excellent beer. I regret not asking if they would sell us a set of the glasses they poured them in as they had the Manneken Piss statue on them. We loved our room. Breakfast was fine. Not the best we have had so far in our travels in Europe, but it was fine. A little pricey for what they offer. Staff was extremely helpful as well and checkout was extremely easy.

no bottle of water in the room while the motel one in Barcelona offers one bottle per person and per night no recyclable plastic cup or cup of glass

I thought it was a little bit too expensive, but these are the prices for Brussels so I guess it's not a big inconvenience Good breakfast, but it could have a little bit more options

Rooms are very small, lacking of some things that todays hotels imply like complementary water, coffe, closets or even glasses in the bathroom. However, none of the above mentioned things didn't spoil overall good impression of the hotel.
Location was excellent, hygiene was on high level, bathroom was renovated and spotless. Special thanks to reception staff, they were absolutely perfect. Breakfast very good, great coffee. Lobby beautifully designed, warm, cosy, homelike.

I did not like having two single duvets on the bed and would have preferred one double. The bath towels were not big enough and I'm only 5'2. The room was slightly cold.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was clean. The bed was firm which I loved. Breakfast was great too.

Although the Hotel is under renovations, I haven't noticed anything of that. My room was small but still enough space for everything I needed during my stay. The breakfast buffet was superb, as always
