How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Bed was nothing special.
Staff was nice, room was okay - location is phenomenal if you are coming for meeting in the EU Commission headquarters or the EU Council Headquarters.

by 8.30 a.m. eggs and becon were already finished. The TV channels are not all present as described. The internet connection is not secure so I could not work

One of my bedroom had no AC. Facing the sunset made the room very hot. Opening the windows was an option but it was very noisy. The list for TV stations did not match the menu on the TV.
The location was excellent. Staff was not welcoming. Too confused regarding my reservation at check in and check out. The staff in charge of breakfast was very pleasant and friendly.

I would have liked to have a bathrobe. And the showerhead needs some deeper cleaning. Other than that, everything else was great.
The receptionist was amazing - very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very close to EU institutions.

there were weird sounds coming either from the corridor or from the ventilation system which were quite loud (I was on the 6th floor) and although I had turned off the system.
Staff was very friendly and the service was good, the hotel was calm and quiet, the location was excellent and the breakfast good.

The only things to mention are: 1. Beds are too narrow (yet pretty comfy). 2. Breakfast is a bit limited in terms of food choices. 3. Protection for the shower was extremely small so you have to be a wizard in order to avoid creating a flood in the bathroom.
Very good hotel overall. Would stay there once again if needed. It's clean, very nice staff, the side we got was very quiet at night. Close to the metro/trains, some bars and essential shops.

The hotel has limited parking space, and finding a parking spot nearby can be tough sometimes during peak hours

I didn’t like at all the room, is very old. I’ve asked for an iron and I had to go with my cloths and iron them in the reception area. that wasn’t elegant at all.
honestly the only thing I liked about the property was the staff. everybody was very nice. it’s a good location if you need to be near the European Commission but is far from the city center.

Noisier than I expected as Rue de Charlemagne was busy late at night and cars/motorbikes etc. seem to rev engines when going through. Lack of air-con; I think it may be available as an extra for some rooms. Lifts were out of order on one day.
Great location for EU district and some residential areas.

Smell in the room was not very well. A shower head was leaking.

The mini-toiletries are environmentally unfriendly. I would like to see the hotel move to using shower gel and shampoo dispensers
Nice hotel only a short walk from the EU buildings. Good location near restaurants, bars, a Metro station and some nice parks. I was able to walk to the Grand Place in 30 minutes (I am a fast walker). The buffet breakfast had something for everyone’s taste. The staff were helpful and efficient. I asked for a quiet room and was happy to get one. The room itself was spacious and clean and had good facilities. Overall, good value for money and would stay here again.

Matttress was very soft, which is not good for the back and spine. For someone with back injury it means waking up very stiff and even sore.
The room was great, staff were very helpful and friendly. It is located close to Schuman Station and has a direct bus link to the airport. During peak traffic it is advised to get the taxi, which the hotel can arrange for you. Lots of places to eat nearby as well and super market within walking distance (less than 10minutes).

Lot of small details are not in the best shape. For example a vanity mirror almost falling of it's attachement point, broken kettle lid, door of the shower not aligned properly, stains on the carpet...
Stuff was helpful. 24h desk is also great, i could check out around midnight. Room was quite large
