Room was overlooked through large windows and glass doors from both the street across the canal and the courtyard. No privacy at all unless the curtains were drawn. There was a notice in the reception that any attempt to change the temperature of the room would result in a €150 fine. The justification was the energy crisis. They choose the temperature, you pay the fairly substantial bill at the hotel. The tone of the note was all wrong and set the scene for a general sense of dissatisfaction with the value of the hotel. In summary, I wouldn't stay here again....

Good location Decent breakfast but nothing special

A good location for walking to the old center, away from all the crowds, a clean room & breakfast!

The room was quite small with only one luggage tray to put a suitcase on, but we had 2. There were no chairs in the room, likely because it was small, but we found 1 elsewhere and used it for the other suitcase. My personal preference, for breakfast, would have been a choice of plain yoghurt, rather than all fruit flavoured, along with muesli & bananas, but it was good for the other choices.

We had about a 10-15 minute walk to the old center of town, via several routes, which was easy to do. Our view was overlooking a canal, which was very pleasant, able to see the tour boats go by. The window sills were quite deep, so we were able to use them to put things on, as there was no counter space at the sink. The lighting in the room was good, always nice to have lights to read by that aren't too dim. The ladies working in the hotel and helping with the breakfast were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good, with decent choices of things to eat.

The service provided by the hotel was terrible. The brakefast time between 8:00 -10:00, however 09:40 the staff told you the leave the brakefast room. Furthermore, the reception staff was terrible, unfriendly.

the location was good with many facilities to walk around the city. Perfect location

room 28 shouldn’t really be a room - it’s in the basement, there is an awkward gap between the stairs down and the entrance to the room and outside the room smelled of drains.

It was extremely cold even though we stayed at the beginning of May. Referring to the energy crisis, the heating was controlled remotely so we couldn’t heat the room for the night, only at an additional €50 cost. Obviously I understand it as this issue affects everyone but it shouldn’t be an excuse when running a hotel.

Close to the central area, nice staff, value for the money.

The floor was not finished in places. The self check in is impersonal, and having to be there at 10 am the next day meant we couldn't be out and about as planned. Everything is charged extra, even an extra blanket, and at the price you would expect better service. The breakfast was very basic and the coffee nearly undrinkable.

The location is good, beds comfortable and rooms clean.

No hanging spaces - 2 hangers on the back of the door! Only two tiny pillows on the bed, an additional pillow was chargeable. No tea/coffee facilities without a charge. The room was quite cold and you were not able to turn up the heating without incurring a £150 fine and you had to pay for an additional blanket. The list of rules/sanctions was unwelcoming. The bathroom didnt provide much privacy and was very basic. Although this was a budget hotel there are comparably priced chain hotels that provide better value and more comfort.

Breakfast was very good and staff were lovely. Towels were changed. Location was excellent.

Much of the communal areas needs decorating and flooring re-laid. The room was exceptionally hot and the heating could not be altered. Only one thin pillow provided. No staff available to help resolve any issues.

Breakfast had a very good selection. Location was excellent for access to all Bruges offers. Cheap and cheerful for what we wanted.

looks like the builders started working and never finished, bed was unusually high from the ground and no chair in room, door was left open after maids cleaned and then entered the next day after requesting they don’t come in to the room if they’re going to leave the door open. Room was FREEZING. no “do not disturb signs” available

I got a paper that there is only 19 degrees in the room. It was very cold at night I had to sleep in pullover. If you want more degrees you have to pay 50 EUR. If you want extra blanket you have to pay for it!!!! (why?? It should be normal to give extra blanket if I payed for a hotel but it is cold) . It should be normal thing too to give shower gel in a hotel... :( . If you want, you have to pay for it. (I got a small soap in the first day to wash my hand). At the reception was nobody (never!!!) but they wrote should have been from 8-18.

Perfect location, just in the middle of the city. The room was big enough and very clean. It was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good and they could give me glutenfree bread too. The bed was bit size and comfortable but so high that I had to climb for it. (although I am tall)

the drawbacks and therefore my score were the following: we wished that the heating was higher. the hotel controls the heating (bc of the crisis) and to be honest we were very cold because we happened to have very cold and rainy days. Also, we had to pay to use the hair drier - I really hoped it would be included. shampoo/conditioner were also not included - didn’t kind that much, yet still.

    the place is perfectly located
