The reception staff were grumpy and not very helpful

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There were enough amenities each day that we were there. Breakfast was also good

Great hotel in a great location, but more like a 4-star than a 5-star

Did not quite live up to what i expect from a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was good but not great, toilet paper ran out and not replaced, use of spa facilities was not included in price, the hotel did not have iron/ironing board

Got a deal on a suite so it was incredible value for money. Stylish hotel with lots of art, decent breakfast and a central location (15 minutes walk to the centre)

The hotel looks a bit old with old dark furniture.

The location is perfect. Right in the center. The receptionist was very nice and helpful!

    Nothing in particular.

The hotel is old fashioned, we had a large room, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was good, a good selection of choices. The staff were all very helpful. All in all a great stay.

What I did not like was, Charging extra for pool, sauna and fitness center. In my opinion these activities should be included in the price for a 5-star hotel.

Especially, the breakfast was very good. Lots of choices of cheese, coffee, tea and fruits. Clean and large rooms withs kingsize bed with a satellite tv including lots of channels from all over the world.

    - lousy personnel, one bartender didn’t know to serve a beer - one waiter tried to exchange euros in leva in bad exchange rate for me - a light from the room didn’t turn off, we had to bypass it from the central panel, the reception didn’t help us with nothing

    - clean - breakfast

I think that the restriction sign to not carry any food out from the breakfast is a bit obsolete and kind of 90´s, Some of the art is a bit depressive especially in darker corridors. And we did not like the smell in the reception, caused by the casino and slot machines presence, I think.

The hotel is nice and the the art collection is big and very interesting. We really enjoyed the rich breakfasts. The staff was very helpful. We have not used it but the hotel has fitness and also pool.

Needs an update .We couldn’t plug coffee machine in because the plug was broken. Not many tv channels available. I wouldn’t rate it as a 5 star hotel. Breakfast could be better, more selection of types of milk, natural juices not machine.

    Good location, nice size rooms

For the price, cleaning the fridge and some other parts of the room could be improved. The noise from the upstairs neighbours was not great, and it sounded like they decided to rearrange the furniture very late at night.

It was a very spacious room, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice, and the bathroom was very big. The location is very good; we could easily reach everywhere, including the airport. The noise insulation from the street is very good.

After seeing fitness centre and pool listed in the facilities, you had to pay extra for them. The garish artwork on every piece of wall. The dark wooden decor everywhere - it's not 1983 anymore. European format of single beds pushed together for a double, with separate duvets. No mention on the sales page as being part of a casino.

Big, spacious suite - although the room was so large, the TV in the main room needs to be bigger! Big shared balcony. Location was perfect for me, near to office, walking distance from city centre and 100m from underground station.

In comparison to the hotel I stayed in the previous night the staff were not as welcoming, The hotel décor is very dark and over full of quite imposing and a little depressing art. (oil paintings adorn every single wall) as a gallery it was very interesting and one I would probably visit, but not the most comforting of feelings as a hotel as it made the halls very dark and somewhat claustrophobic. The Spa which attracted me to the hotel was an extra cost (did not pay as I was not staying that long) And I think Booking.com should colour code the icons (green if the spa is free and orange if it an additional cost) The room was on the whole was clean but one of the cups was stuck to the saucer and had coffee strains, and the head rest of the spa bath had black mould under it which meant I did not use it. Breakfast was just ok, a decent selection but nothing that jumped out at me and made me think I fancy that. Again the breakfast room was dark and a bit claustrophobic.

My room (301) was absolutely huge, just the private hall to my room was bigger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in, with an extra large bed, sofa, dinning table, kitchen, and bathroom with bidet and spa bath. The décor was something out of an old James bond movie and I expected Sean Connery to be sitting in the corner. The room came equipped with it's own business centre which included a laptop and keyboard/mouse combo, And on the whole was clean with some exception. The location was ok, for where I wanted to be, about 15 minutes walk to the city centre.

Toiletries in the bathroom are as in 3-star hotel, the radiator in the bathroom was dusty, looking as a whole, is more a 4-star hotel, not 5.

Large room, comfortable matress, good position for visiting Sofia, decent breakfast.

The facilities were overrated and outdated. You need to purchase extra the entrance to the pool and a swimming cap, which makes sense but the guest needs to be informed before arrival. The breakfast was not as fresh as expected.

The art is a good touch. I little bit exaggerated but nice, the hotel is well located and has good contacts with a day-tour provider. They room was clean and spacious
