We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

RomaniaThe rooms look very cheap, the furniture is old, the bathrooms look like there hasn't been any renewal there in the past 30 years. Not only there isn't any soundproofing as they state on the website, but the walls are so thin that one can literally understand what their neighbours talk in the other rooms. I wouldn't recommend a stay longer than one night here.

BulgariaThe room was a decent size but it became clear that previous stays are no guide when booking again. The bathroom door didn't shut properly and couldn't even be locked shut. One of the chairs was in a state of collapse and would've if we'd have sat on it. The room didn't even have a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities which you'd expect in a grand hotel like this. The hotel's literature said that it did and yet the reception told us it didn't qualify. The receptionist told us they would make a complaint on our behalf when the manager was at work on Monday The receptionist did get a kettle delivered to the room, but after that hassle we didn't want to mention the other faults as we were there to enjoy ourselves not be hotel inspectors. There seemed to be a shortage of staff there, we couldn't get a drink from the downstairs bar and had to get one upstairs. When I told the waiter I didn't want to drink in the heat outside and would drink in the only other place available he was obviously unimpressed. We got the impression that him serving us was him doing us a favour. At breakfast time the same waiter ignored our request for black tea bags, he seemed to think herbal fruit teas were enough. Pointing out that there was no scrambled egg got another blank look. It did feel like this was a Bulgarian version of fawlty towers, we decided in the end to cut our stay short and didn't stay for the third night. Two was enough.
The property looks nice from the outside and gives the impression of a Palace. The location of the property was handy if you wanted to walk along the Danube.

United StatesOn my 2nd stay there was no breakfast buffet instead the breakfast item were on order. No choice of bread, no Orange juice just apple juice. As I was not informed before I was in hurry and could just take what was prepared on the table (some weets, mamelade, butter, only 2 slices white bread)
The room for my 2nd stay was nicer and the wi-fi connection better than in room 105.

United KingdomNever slept for 2 nights. In the facility was working fan type aspirator and the noise was so loud the wasn't possible to sleep.
Uncomfortable design of the room... Smell of smoking... Have to pay extra money of another person for one nigh at the night reception, in the morning asked for statement, day reception hade no idea, for the payment made at night!

United KingdomBeds were awful. Very thin matresses. Not proper hotel matrasses, just sponge. Even so, that was squeezed down to just a couple of inches thick. Permanent dip in the middle. The pillows were incredibly lightweight. They squashed down to nothing once you lay your head on them. I know not everyone likes heavy feather pillows but these were the opposite in the extreme. The room was boiling. It was the middle of summer and sweltering. Even on number 2 the aircon fan just vibrated and did nothing. Literally nothing. No cold air at all. I set the thermostat to 17 degress but my thermometer said 33 degrees. NO cold air at all from the AC unit. The door of the room was not like a hotel door. It was a plywood skinned door and you could easily barge the door open when it was locked. In fairness, there was no way that is going to happen, the hotel seems extremely safe and secure to me.
Very pleasant member of staff on reception. Really friendly guy. Excellent place to have breakfast on the balcony with the sun shining. Great hotel position in the centre of taown and next to the Danube. Free parking next to the front door and the staff keep an eye on your car.
