How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The beds are the least comfortable we’ve experienced in Bulgaria with an uncomfortable crinkly mattress protector beneath the sheets. The room also really needs comfortable seating aside from just the bed. It’s fine for a night. 10am check out isn’t ideal. 11-12 is normal.
Dracena Guesthouse was a last minute pick on our world of road-tripping. It’s in a great quiet location with a wonderfully kept garden. The guesthouse is extremely clean and well-maintained with nice balconies, good a/c, and good sized rooms. Nesebar old town is a wonderful 5k walk (or jog)!

A minor thing and you can get used to it: be ready that there is no electrical socket in the bathroom and that you should leave all dry items outside the bathroom before bathing. Such is the beauty of a bathroom that is also a shower.
There was everything you would expect: Air-conditioning, fast WiFi connection, small fridge, TV with many channels (including Eurosport 1 and 2, children's channels), coffee machine at the very entrance. The whole place was clean. In addition, the landlady cleans the floors every other day. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. Excellent value for money.

Nothing I can think about. The prices sum up with the quality of the hotel.
It was a nice and clean place to stay at. We had one minor issue with the shower head, but the owners were very quick to react. The center of Ravda is on a 3 minutes walk, so the location is good. Dracena house has a private parking with cameras.

My review: The inability to pay by card caused minor inconveniences, especially in today's cashless world. the frustrating aspect was the construction noise from nearby renovation, conducted by the hotel owner himself, especially noticeable in the early morning hours. Additionally, I cannot overlook the dreadful room design and the lack of a shower cabin, making the stay less comfortable. In the morning, when all guests needed water, it was absent, and the staff didn't even apologize for it. The most unpleasant additional detail was the feeling that the mattresses seemed to have remained in their plastic packaging since purchase, making sleeping on them very uncomfortable. Another inconvenience was the sense that the owner of this hotel, while building another one nearby, didn't seem to care much about the comfort of his guests.

We paid for 4 people and we got a room with three beds. We had to merge the beds so the baby can sleep somewhere. The toilet was extremely small and disgusting - there was no way you can sit on the toilet seat, as it was extremely near to the wall. The smell was awful. All the water from the shower was spilling in the room so you have to walk in puddles, making the whole room super dirty.
There is a parking space. The host was nice.

Called the Dracena as i was running late due to an accident on the highway, the lady told me she gave my room to someone else because i didn't send her any money. Booking said i was to pay at the property so quite the unpleasant surprise. She said she didn't care much about any reservation if she didn't receive some down payment in advance via a bank transfer/wire. What a joke. 21st century in Bulgaria is like 18th century somewhere else. I am done with these people. Initially i was planning to go to Greece but eventually decided to help the Bulgarian tourism instead. What a mistake. Llast one though.

The bed was very uncomfortable and it was damp, it felt like someone had peed on it. There were ants, spiders and mosquitos :(
