Our triple room didn’t have a bathroom attached to it but instead you needed to go out of the room into the hallway to get to the bathroom. This was pretty inconvenient as was the design of the bathroom (it’s a very small room so you are basically showering right next to the toilet seat and the whole room turns into a pool after a shower). The bathroom also had a very weird and quite a bad smell. The room and especially the bathroom were not exactly clean. There was for example some trash behind our fridge, stains in our towels and the bathroom was far from shiny.

The room and location were fine, and the air conditioner was a plus. The wifi was okay, not the best we’ve experienced but it did the job. The stay was quite cheap so we felt it was good value for money.

This property is a hostel and is extremely cheap,

The owner Penka was lovely and helpful, the room was satisfactory for the price and the location is good. A vending machine and coffee machine is on reception and there was a fridge in our room which was found helpful.

I'm well aware that this is a 1-star establishment, and I was well prepared for humble accommodation without unnecessary fancy-schmancy. Nor did I mind sharing a bathroom for only 3 nights. What I wasn't prepared for, though, was mold on the underside of my toilet seat and on the rim of the bathroom sink, spider webs in one of the corners, dust and grime on the bathroom fan/ventilator, and weird stains/pieces of dirt on the bathroom wall. In fairness, my bed and pillows were very comfy. Check-in, however, is a joke. Reception is largely unmanned both day and night, so new arrivals are asked to call a number posted on the reception desk. As I make very few phone calls, I didn't even bother to top up minutes. I managed to hook up to the WiFi and figured I'd use WhatsApp instead. Good luck. Said number isn't a WhatsApp user. It was only through sheer dumb luck that the cleaning lady/receptionist happened to walk by. Also, the front door remains unlocked 24/7, meaning that any random person has access to the entire premises. In conclusion, if you're a happy-go-lucky backpacker who literally just needs a place to crash, this is for you. Families on vacation or couples on a romantic retreat might want to look elsewhere.

The location is awesome – 700 m (770 yd) from the river promenade, and about the same distance to Plac Svoboda (Freedom Square) with its many pubs and restaurants. The rooms themselves are clearly from the Communist era, giving an odd nostalgic vibe to those who remember from their childhood what Eastern Bloc hotels used to look like.
