Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaUnfortunately, the rooms are not well noise isolated, so we ended up being woken up by other guests at the hotel. Also, I was surprised that the room’s thick curtains were only for decoration, so in the evenings I was worried about privacy as our room was on the first floor overlooking a playground. On our second evening we were left disappointed at the restaurant because we had to wait more than an hour for our main course even though the restaurant wasn’t fully booked. However, the food was really good!
The location is absolutely amazing and the view of the forest from the hotel’s window is just so relaxing! Also, the food at the restaurant was delicious. The staff was kind.

BulgariaThere is no cell service up there and the Wi-Fi connection was very poor. The restaurant was bad given that it’s the only place offering food around.
The hotel is in the perfect spot high up the mountains in close proximity to the Buzludzha Monument and with amazing views of the forest around. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.

not much went well in fact we had to pay for 3 nights when we only stayed one and that was enough - trying to be balanced but it did not help that we were the only guest at the hotel considering it was only 5 miles from the Rose festival one of the bigger event in the calendar for the area - wonder why? It has a faded grandeur which is still fading. There was only one staff on duty trying her best but little to offer. On trying to check out the receptionist or owner we were informed had gone home and would not be returning hence only option was to abandon ship and pay up

United KingdomBreakfast was pathetic. You could only have a choice of one item. You were not allowed cereal and yogurt. You could have one or the other. You had a choice of a plate of cold meats and cheese or a hot ham and cheese sandwich or an omelet. That was it. You were not allowed any type of combination. This is not as advertised by Booking.com. Booking.com stated they have a fabulous breakfast, they do not. It was just about adequate. The staff could have smiled. Minimal English is spoken and the bar waiter looked utterly miserable and unhappy. The room was not cleaned over the 3 days, towels/soap/toilet paper not automatically replenished (we had to ask for towels and anything else we needed over the 3 days). The Jacuzzi water was absolutely filthy. On Sunday the quiet was destroyed by a motor cross bike race at the back of the hotel. The trail goes up the back of the garden.
The room was quiet and nicely appointed. The heating and hot water were good. The spa area was nice but the jacuzzi water was filthy. Set in a lovely forest location.
