The balcony was very small, and there was only one stool. The bed was not comfortable enough. There was no closed wardrobe.

It is surrounded by greenery, next to a pond, and there is no parking problem.

Just flagging that the information on the rooms is a bit misleading - we booked a Deluxe suite advertised as separate bedroom and living room. Since we're with a small child that goes to bed rather early, for us it's important to have some space to ourselves - unfortunately there's no "separate" space at all, it's just a really big room with separate corners. Originally the room we were given didn't have a balcony either, so we asked to change the room and were able to stay there in the evenings. If you'd like to really enjoy the quiet and peace of the location, make sure to confirm there's no private event scheduled at the restaurant. There was one while we were there, with a DJ and loud music, which fortunately ended by 23.10.

We're very happy with our stay in the hotel, the room was spacious and clean, it's a very quiet location, the food in the restaurant is good.

Haphazard breakfast times. No room cleaning or mini bar replenishment of bottled water. No hot water on our third morning.

Lovely setting with a nice pool and close to the fabulous Plovdiv rowing channel and park. Walkable into old town. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Plusses outweigh the minuses.😊

Location was out of town so needed taxis to get into Plovdiv centre to explore, but at only 10 leva a journey it was not expensive. Bathroom was small and shower had a panel missing so the floor got very wet, which made things difficult for my 82 year old father with his mobility issues. A rubber bathmat from my sister-in-law quickly improved the situation, so would maybe be a good option in all bathrooms.

Located near to Southern edge of Plovdiv, Ostrova sits in woodland on the edge of the rowing lake and backed by the Maritsa river, so leisurely walks after meals and in the evenings were a daily treat. Reception staff spoke good English and could not do enough to help during our stay. Room was very spacious, and balcony had lovely view over the lake. Spa was only 10 leva a session and was another relaxing indulgence every couple of days. Restaurant was excellent; with breakfast have 4 options daily to choose from with every one being huge portions. We ate there with family a few evenings during our stay, and the food was consistently first class and very reasonably priced. All in all, a lovely stay in Plovdiv in a quiet, peaceful location, with great staff and fabulous food.

They were letting people not staying in the hotel use the pool, which meant it was overcrowded and there wasn't a comfortable space for the guests.

The rooms were modern and comfortable. With the windows closed the noise level was pretty low despite the nearby rock concert. The staff were friendly and always ready to help.

Location far away from everything, even the public transport. Breakfast very poor, need to choose something from the menu and not much choice. But quality of food is very good

The restaurant is part of the hotel but you have to walk outside and back in to get to it, the food was okay but they only accept cash The hotel is out of town, There was a water mark on the roof in the shower and the cubicle was small

The bathrooms needs some upgrades, the shower cabin had missing one door, the water was splashing all around. The humidity than is extreme and the mold was visible, some extra cleaning will do the work. Definitely the hotel should extend the working hours of their pool, closing it at 18:30 (usually 18:10) in the summer when at this time its still 33’C isnt the best. We would enjoy to stay at least one hour more. Breakfast was fine, maybe add some extras cereals buffet or have some 2 varieties of breakfast. The lady at reception was really nice, smiling, helped us with all requests! Thank you, hope one day your colleagues will share the same attitude.

The hotel is located outside of the city, next to the canal for kayaking. Nice to walk, easy access to the city center with car. Pool is nice, not overcrowded, fairly clean! The rooms are big enough. The internet was working surprisingly fast, on our request we had room close to the router (working remotely).

We were dissapointed that we had missed the deadline for the pool but it was understandable to be closed after summer (1st Sept).

The hotel was gorgeous! We had a giant room, which was very clean and well cared for but the absolute best thing about this place was Milena. The Reception/front of house hostess was incredible. She was so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you! We had a thoroughly enjoyable 2days in Plovdiv and will certainly be back. And when we are we will stay here again.
