Excellent stay at Kaliakria, as usual (this is maybe our 6th-7th time in the resort). We had an upgrade from Booking and the price was great. Also, we were not charged for our 2 dogs :) The view was nice, we could see the sea & the pool.

The Entrance door in the block, as well as the lighting system ( could be on sensors) in the block.

We have been coming here for 12 years in a row, for short or longer stays, but now we prefer the off-pick seasons. During summer time , it is very crowded. We like the appartment size and the balcony/balconies with garden furniture. The stuff in the room ( glassware and dishes, kettle for hot water, complimentary coffee & tea, hair blower, iron machine etc. ). Own air conditioning unit in the appartment. Own boiler for shower. Convenience of the restaurants and bars in the complex. Relaxing breakfasts and tasty dinners at El Balcon del Mundo ( with a nice wine list). Very nice and well kept garden. Very clean swimming pools. Nice staff people.

Poor maintained rooms, superficial cleaning in rooms, very cold water (too cold to stay at least with the legs in water- beginning of september). A bit far from the beach and isolated. Also, there is no complex security. In the middle of the night was every night a fray, with loud yelling people, broken glasses (during the day was ok)

Nice gardens, clean pools, nice restaurant with view inside complex, spacious terrace, good breakfast and coffee.

The fact that the sea is relatively far, you can only get there by car.

I liked the view of the sea, the food, the restaurant, the pools, the room was large and I appreciated that it was very quiet. My kids loved the pony rides just nearby. Good value for the money, we came at the end of September and it was not too crowded.

Difficulties with arriving - small amount of buses, but it's not the problem of the resort.

Beautiful place ❤️ I was prepared just for a nice room for two with a private bathroom, but we received an apartment! Large clean bathroom, comfortable bedroom, big living room with kitchenette and great balcony with the gorgeous view. We travelled after season so there was small amount of people. It was quiet and relaxing as we needed. About food - very delicious and fresh. I had small choice as I'm vegetarian (spaghetti with spicy tomatoes, risotto, grilled veggies and fries), but my partner was in heaven with all that meat from the grill.

Very soft and uncomfortable bed - we woke up more tired than when we got to bed. You hear the smallest noise from outside like cars driving by and birds singing in the morning.

In comparison with the previous years, they have cut some of the expenses for the breakfast and service (bad caffe, no sparkling wine, not enough toiletries în the bathroom, old and not so clean ameneties în the kitchen etc.)

The breakfast restaurant is beautiful, the view from the apartament is great, the terace is wide and included facilities for serving meals.

We chose off-season to avoid crowds and noise. Staff kept a professional level and responded promptly to requests. The view is great, very relaxing.

Everything is kind of worn out...it needs a thorough refurbishment. None of our showers were working properly and were actually losing more water through the holes in the hose, than through the shower head. The pool was not really clean, although it was cleaned up every night, it had a lot of big dark slimy patches. The WiFi was a disaster, actually not working in our apartment and when we complained at the reception, the solution given was to connect to the WiFi from another apartment - this was actually the biggest drawback, since we also had to work during the day and it made our job very difficult. The location is pretty far away from everything, so you actually need a car to go anywhere...even to the beach, which is pretty far away (no chance of walking to it). Then, if you use the car, you need to be lucky to find a parking space inside the compound when you return (especially in the evening when people flock from all over the place, to dine at the 2 above-mentioned restaurants, which are renowned in the area).

The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel manager (whose name I have now forgotten), was very friendly and customer-oriented and helped us with our reservation upon our arrival - we are again extremely thankful for fixing the mistake with our reservation! The girls at the pool bar/Italian restaurant were friendly, funny, and nice to interact with. The apartment was nice, the terrace spacious, the pool ok... The cleaning ladies came daily...in the last days, we had so many towels, that we could build an igloo with them. The two restaurants, the Italian one, and Balcon del Mundo, surprised us with excellent service and exquisite cuisine. Most importantly the location was pet-friendly (someone should actually tell this also to the dark-skinned cleaning lady, who was absolutely terrified by the sight of our smiley-faced Staffy).

1. Even if we stayed 4 days, because we didn't reserve with 5 days before a table in their beautiful restaurants on the coast, we had no chance to have any dinner… 2. All beaches are far away from the resort; they assure twice per day shuttles to a very small beach in the vicinity (at 11 and 3 p.m.); otherwise everyone manages on their own to find a nearby beach; 3. They have only few sun beds for each pool (about 10 -15 with no chance to find to stay)… 4. The water temperature in the pools is very cold, a maximum of 18 degrees; 5. Even if we warned the reception that we can't go out on the balcony because of the wasps, they didn't take any action. 6. none of the windows had mosquito nets or wasps (in the case of the apartment) so we had to ventilate with great care.

I didn't like the sunbeds, the covers and the umbrellas. It was all the time windy and everything was flying, the covers didn't had anything to fix them, the sunbeds almost all of them a bit broken and the umbrellas were smashed from the floor. There is a need to do something in this regard.

Quite windy location, seaside beaches need a car to reach (but there are hidden gems)

Great location, spacious apartment and resort, good pools, great restaurants. Very different setting altogether compared to the rest of the Bulgarian seaside all to the south.

The wi-fi quality could be better. There were some ants in our room, even though it was at the last floor. During the weekend there was noise from some weddings held in the restaurants of the complex.

Upon our arrival, we were upgraded to a three room suite with sea view, which was very spacious and had an amazing position. Everything was excellent - the breakfast, the pool, the service. Both adults and children enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely return to Kaliakria Resort!
