We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

BulgariaThe cleanliness wasn’t on the expected level - there was a stain on one if the pillowcases and on the curtains too. The windows were dirty as well, especially the bathroom one. Although the bath was nice and featuring a bath tub, it was uncomfortable when you just want to take a shower. The restaurant is not big enough and you sometimes need to seat in the smoking area or share your table with another family. There was no light (at all) in the regular sauna and the steam bath didn’t have steam. Some broken tiles and windows made an impression and we thought the property was in need of renovation
The location of the property was great and our room had a nice view of Batak reservoir. The SPA had everything necessary for a good relax session and the temperature of the pool and the jacuzzi was great. The room was spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was great, we were properly welcomed. Overall, we spent a lovely holiday at Katalina SPA and enjoyed playing billiards, eating delicious food and visiting almost all of the SPA facilities ☺️ We even saw the first snow of the season seeping quietly above the trees and the reservoir.

United KingdomThe most ridiculous experience we had is that the restaurant is too small for the hotel capacity and we had to wait in the lobby for a table to free up. The kids had to sit separately as they were hungry and sat in the smoking area so all evening they were having dinner in clouds of smoke. Something totally unacceptable in this day and age and especially in a Mountain hotel where we went for the air quality!
Location of the hotel, the room we had was spacious and with a good view. The waiting staff , the receptionists, most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Bulgariait was a bit hard to find the property at night - better signs might be helpful. the surroundings were beautiful, but it might be nice to have like a guided nature walk.
I stayed there for a romantic weekend with my husband in early December - it was wonderful. the Spa was peaceful and well-maintained. the food was delicious. They were very serious about covid measures, which we liked and it made us feel safe. The view of the lake and the surrounding nature were great. It looked like it would be fun for children too.

BulgariaThere was a lack of people working in the hotel. When being around the outside pool (which was closed due to the cold weather) there is a bar. However, there usually was no one working and the lifeguard had to step in to give us the drinks.
The hotel is amazing. The rooms are spacious, with amazing views, huge windows so a lot of daylight comes in. They are also very clean and kept neat. The spa is very nice. The food is delicious and there is enough choices. The staff is very kind and friendly, always smiling and trying to make your stay even better.

BulgariaTap water was brown and we didn’t get other explanation then “it’s raining “ It is a bit hard to make the desired temperature in the room. We set the AC to 30 degrees and we couldn’t reach more then 21. The staff is nice as I stated above and brought us a heater.

BulgariaMost of the waiters weren’t all that polite, the fact that drinks were free during breakfast, but not free during dinner was annoying(breakfast and dinner were included in the price of the room). The water at the hotel is not drinkable, so you’ll need a good amount of water with you although you’ll get two free bottles of water in the room.
The hotel itself was great, the food was very diverse and delicious, the room was clean and comfortable. The view from the room and the restaurant was awesome, that’s the reason why we choose the the hotel in the first place.

The room was spacious and had a really nice view towards the Batak lake. Beds were comfortable as well. The hotel is at a great location with loads of options for hiking, running, and water sports in the lake. For a block table, the food quality was decent. The staff seemed quite friendly.
