Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaThe bathroom was not what I like but it depends on what your perspectives are.
The location is pretty good. You have a view above Smolyan which is the best you can have. The room was pretty big. It’s a lil bit rusty but I didn’t have the problem with that. For one night stand is perfect.

South AfricaTheir restaurant was not operating, but we managed to self cater as we carry all our own self catering items such as a small kettle, plates, knives, forks, and spoons etc. The access road to the property is atrocious with huge holes dug in it, broken surfaces, potholes, and big tipper trucks and earth moving equipment to dodge around. Initially we could not find the hotel as the road was so dug up and blocked by construction equipment that we did not even realise it was a road! The hotel is in a very narrow, steep, downhill curving, dead end road where it is extremely difficult to turn the car around, especially for us used to driving on the other side of the road in South Africa. As a result of this we used our car as little as possible even though shops, restaurants, and the town centre were several kilometres away. If the road is ever properly repaired it will make access far easier.
We loved our room, it was very comfortable and the view from it was superb. Our hosts were wonderful people and were extremely helpful. It is in a nice quiet peaceful location quite high up with views over the city and of the forested mountains all around.
