How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only "defect" is the small breakfast, but nothing of important respect to the other services of the hotel

Not well signposted and no breakfast
Good location. 10/15mins walk from Lavov Most Metro station and Nevsky Cathedral.

- the access to the property was a bit scary as there is an old decrepit building in front of Leda, however soon realised there are lots of buildings like this in Sofia all around. So pls don’t get scared if you see this, it is a very safe area and very central.
My review that I d be posting with a 10 star on booking - Thanks to the wonderful reception staff at Hotel Leda, Ms Daniela, and the manager cum owner, Mr. Lucha, I had a wonderful stay at Sofia and would definitely stay again at Leda when I visit Sofia next as they treat guests like family. - the hotel is centrally located and almost all sights are located within a 15 minutes walk. - the hotel is brand new and spotlessly clean - you get a 3 star room with all facilities in an economical budget. Great value for money! - the breakfast everyday is delicious with some cheese and chicken puffs and pain au chocolates/ sweet bread, with cappuccino or coffee options. - there is a hot water kettle with tea: coffee sachets refilled and the staff really helped me get some milk from the vending machine when I wished to get some coffee - I had some mobility issues and the staff took care of me with helping me with my baggage on arrival and on check out. - Mr. Lucha is very receptive to suggestions and promised they d redo the bathrooms as the whole floor tends to get wet and explained that all over Sofia the bathrooms have the same design. So not specific to this hotel but still he was so sweet when I gave the suggestion with a proactive approach to fix it .

The bathroom is quite small, but we stayed only one night so was not really a problem for us.
Very nice and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and pillow. Tasty coffee at the reception :).

not something I didn’t like but taxi drivers, that might no speak much English, might not know the hotel by name, and might struggle with the address. just keep it easy to hand it over.
Very friendly and supportive stuff. once you recognise the area it’s very well located and quiet at the same time. few minutes walk and you’re in the city center

My stay at Hotel Leda was pleasant, very clean environment. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The light breakfast was a nice touch, enhancing the value of my stay. The location proved convenient for accessing local sights and amenities. Overall, it provided a comfortable experience at an appropriate price point.

Basic TV, bring a Roku or similar so you can watch movies or use YouTube, Shower carefully so you don’t flood the bathroom
Squeaky clean, quiet, we could sleep like babies, comfy beds and pillows, close to a bus stop, supermarkets and not too far from main sightseeings in Sofia. Great WiFi, A Kettle in the room, instant coffee, tea and sugar in the room, Pastries and coffee for breakfast at the lobby, Great personnel, specially Lucho, thanks ☺️

The best place that you can stay in Sofia! The hotel is very close to the centre and main tourist attractions - less than 15minutes walking and 20minutes to the central bus and train station. The rooms are nice with very comfortable beds, big mirrors and great bathroom. We also had a balcony in our room. The best part about the place is the staff which is super friendly and helpful! They offer a luggage space and early check in if it's possible. They also offer a breakfast with little pastries so you don't walk on an empty stomach, great coffee and tee are also provided. If you want a place to feel like home this is the one for you!

Fridge in the room made some noise during the night.
Complimentary hot drinks and local delicacies in the lobby of the hotel in the morning. Staff were friendly. Hotel Leda is a simple hotel that offers great value for money. Will choose it again next time I'm in Sofia.

The room was smoky, even an opened window did not help to improve the situation. (but to tell the truth, I did not specify in the order that the room should be for non-smokers)
The room was clean, the staff was pleasant and polite, they offered a light breakfast in the morning, despite the fact that it was not ordered, they were able to accommodate me late at night without any problems. All is well.

It can be a bit difficult to locate especially at night time
We enjoyed our stay at the Leda Hotel. Although breakfast is not offered, they provided us with coffee and some traditional Bulgarian breakfast items. They offered us a lift to the zoo & they kept our luggage after checkout. Rooms are clean and warm (visited in March). We would stay again.
