Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaWould be great to show attention to the returning guests such as welcome amenities. No bedside plugs. If you need, bring your own hair dryer, as it is outdated in the hotel. The hotel does not have its own beach - take your own towels to the beach, otherwise you will be charged 10 euros at check out as for the "damaged", even if you returned hotel's beach towel safe and sound.
The hotel is located in a great location - close to the old town, where it is nice to walk in the evening and not far from the paid beach. The good variety of food with a a different choices daily. Great reservation manager - many thanks for our excellent room with a great views!

RomaniaOne of the elevators wasn't always working. The drinks were below average (especially the cocktails), only a very few exceptions were okay. The noise in the room was annoying. In the first night there was a constant buzzing - couldn't identify the source. On the 2nd night the wind started to blow quite a lot and inside the room you could hear all the time a lot of noise from outside and from the hall, despite all the windows being closed.
The food was good, but not great, but I think this is all you can expect form an All Inclusive. The view was amazing - we had a room that had a view through the Old Town and the sea which was amazing both on daylight and on the night. The Sky Bar was great. The massage is a great deal - decent price, great experience. The proximity to the Old Town was amazing - only a few hundreds meters away. The room was quite big.

RomaniaSmall things, like the containers for soap and shower gel are a bit outdated, maybe a new coat of paint here and some wallpaper that comes off there, so definitely there's a need for some renovations, but it didn't bother us too much, as we had such a lovely stay. If you come by car parking is 8 leva/day, not included.
It was probably the best vacation we've had at the seaside, this hotel was perfect for our needs. The location was perfect, about 5-6 minutes walk to Nessebar beach, there's also a smaller, wild beach just downhill from the hotel. We had a beautiful lateral view of the golf, they also have rooms with direct view to the sea but your balcony will be in full sun almost all day. Rooms are cleaned daily unless you request otherwise. Beds were huge. Small drying rack on the balcony for drying your beach towels. Good A/C, also fridge in the room and iron with ironing board. The pool is on the roof, looked good but we didn't use it, as we preferred the beach. Plenty of choices for mealtime, unless you're very picky you're going to find something to eat. Every night there's a different theme for dinner, for me the Balcanic and Asian were the best. Decent wine included for lunch and dinner, also long drinks at the Sky Bar, I've tried a few and they were ok. Loved some of the desserts, also the veggies were so full of flavour. Would definitely choose again for future vacation.

BelgiumThe hotel is a special building, but the first signs of age are begin to appear. A factor that needs to be considered is that a 4-star hotel in Belgium and Bulgaria are not the same experience, overall if it fits your budget I would recommend coming here.
Very friendly people behind the bar, especially in the pool bar. Drinks in the all-in were varied and well tasting. the food was a good combination but the tast was a bit bland or simple sometimes. In general for a all-in and the price we payed it was a nice place to be.

HungaryLittle knowledge of English. The pool water could have been warmer. Breakfast could have been more varied. We had hoped for a better cocktail selection in the all inclusive! The room Mini bar could have been stocked!
Nice terrace and views. Clean, tidy environment. Plenty of food on offer. Friendly and helpful staff!

Switzerlandthe unusual watch band room entry / security system is prone to both battery and other intermediate system failure resulting without warning in the potentially dangerous condition of no electrical functionality -- lights, A/C -- whatsoever in the room. At a minimum there needs to be some sort of alert indicator (or in room emergency lighting) when the security device battery is weakened, and/or when the electrical systems in the room are unexpectedly not functioning.
This all-inclusive hotel with all exterior facing, spacious, comfortable rooms, is lovely. However the presence of only three spare electrical outlets, counting one in the bathroom, and none near the beds are an immediate opportunity for update.

BulgariaAlready at our check-in, the lady at the reception was quite inhospitable. The rest of the staff were foreigners who spoke neither Bulgarian nor English and this created a slight tension, but they tried to be nice. In the lobby of the hotel, as well as in the corridors, there are a lot of cobwebs with spiders and uncleaned corners that do not make a good impression. Our room was nice as shown in the pictures with some exceptions. The shower doors were broken and rattling. We could hardly open or close them. Every time we showered or washed our hands, there was an extremely unpleasant smell from the drain. The water was difficult to drain. The channel was blocked. Plaster from the ceiling fell on our clothes or personal belongings. The pool is very small. If more people decided to use the pool, it would be inconvenient.
The hotel is located in an easily accessible location. There is a free beach 2 minutes from the hotel - it was clean and calm. There is also a paid beach next to it, where you can use a deckchair and an umbrella if you want. The location is in a quiet place, 5 minutes walking distance from the old town. The pool is located on the roof of the building and has a nice view. The food in the main restaurant was delicious, with a themed dinner every night. The preferences we asked for were taken into consideration. There are an iron and ironing board in the room. The maids cleaned the room every day.

HungaryThe hotel is a bit outdated, public areas and rooms should be renovated, especially the bathroom. Wide selection of food, but almost the same every day. No alternatives for people with food allergy (e.g. no lactose free milk, vegan milk, sugar free products, etc.).

RomaniaFood is poor and repetitive. I am not saying is not enough... It is but poor menu! Personnel in the restaurant are not.... trained. Pillows are extremely bad, too much used... impossible to sleep on them. Towels are clean and daily changed but are very old. Rust around the shower cabin and bottom of the water kettle. My house cleaning lady is very nice and daily cares for my room.
My room, the view, the peace. Housekeepers are very hard workers.
