As we were end of season the restaurants were reduced to just 1 in the hotel and it was very busy still so it was crowded. Also the food could be more varied but again I'm not sure of this is because it was the end of season.

Hotel is perfect for families. So much to do for children with all the pools, slides, parks and kids club. Evening entertainment was good and interactive again very good for children. The room was excellent plenty of room very comfortable and good views.

- Bad pillows with no alternative options - imagine sleeping on two folded t-shirts. - Bad isolation level of the shower bathroom - water pours out all over the place. - Can't reach out the shampoo and conditioner while standing in the bath. - Sagged mattresses, might be bad for people who are sensitive to sleeping conditions.

- A wide variety of food, tasty meat, lots of fruits and vegetables, unlimited drinks anytime (even water and coffee supply near your room). - Friendly personnel, very welcoming people, attentive and nice. - Nice location near the beach, good view of the sea from the room. - Lots of things to do in the territory of the hotel, pools, different restaurants, bars, SPA and fitness center. - Spacious room in good condition, branded bathroom supplies.

The crowdness of the main restaurant, lack of a particular circulation direction in it was quite a challenge at rush hour. It was very dificult for our daughter mainly.

Coziness of the staff and fact that the room was big and very clean. We felt safe especially for our little daughter.

1. parking - the hotel should be responsible for easy access, if you want to leave and someone else is blocking you, you need to discuss with the car owner to move it (we find it very difficult to discuss with owners, no phone specified, language barriers etc.) 2. there is not enough space for the hotel capacity in beach area or pool - if you didn't come early in the morning, you wouldn't find anything available

Staff's command of English is not enough to provide good service. Even reception was straining to understand some of our enquiries. There are some really grumpy and unfriendly individuals in reception, which is off-putting. We were checked in by a girl, who did not explain us everything about hotel facilities, and really acted like we are a bother. Not all staff is like that, but it was a spoiled experience for us. Out shower was a pain, as it was leaking through the shower screen and the floor was a constant pool of water. We have reported this to reception and had an "engineer" attending, however he did not fully rectified the issue, and because it was so hard to explain the problem in the first place (due to command of English) and mission impossible to communicate with engineer (who only spoke Bulgarian), we had to giver up, and use our towels to make is safe for kids. Food, as in many other reviews - boring and repetitive, not the best. Yes, you will not go hungry, but really reminded me a Soviet canteen. Staff handling the food, again no English, so if you need any help - you won't get it. On the positive - Indian food was fantastic, even fussy kids enjoyed it, and Chinese was a fun experience. Beach bar - bad. You will queue for 40 minutes to an hour to get a plain grilled cheese sandwich, because only one person is helping in the bar. Need 2 or 3 people. Indoor pool could be cleaner. Room cleaning - bad. Only bed were made, towels were changed, and a light wipe down in the bathroom - but not even a mirror clean. There was dust everywhere, and floors that are carpeted are not hoovered. Phone next to my bed had an ancient layer of dust, and so did the TV.

Location great, only 30 minutes away from Burgas airports by car or taxi. 3 minutes walk form the beach. Beach is very good, soft sand and kids friendly sea (large shallow end, no steep drop into the deep). Hotel has 2 deep pools and one shallow heated pool (it is not always on, only when it is less hot outside, which makes sense), and one indoor pool. 3 slides which our 2 kids (age 7 and 9) have really enjoyed. Kids club is good and runs 2 times per day (morning and afternoon) - which is included in price. Towels for the pool and the beach can be exchanged for fresh ones any time you need, which is simply fantastic. Room key is on your hotel wrist band, and you can get one for each family member - great idea, super convenient. Soft drink and coffee machines are placed through hotel, so you can always have a drink to hand. Bar serves good alcohol and cocktails - does not taste weak or diluted. You get good bar snack throughout the day - burgers and hot dogs. Ice cream for kids. Hotel has medical centre on site, but you do need to have an insurance for it. Even with some negatives, we would gladly return to this hotel, we had a good holiday.

The staff didnt understand english very well and it was hard to communicate with them. The hotel was very crowded, if you didnt reserve a sunbed early in the morning you will not find anywhere to sit near the pool Even if the hotel says no reserving sun beds people didnt listen and they put towels on several beds , It was very unpleasent The privat beach was far from the hotel ( a 10 min walk) The snack bar close at 16:00 so if you are hungry there us nothing to eat exept for pizza.

The hotel is beautifull and soo big 3 pools ( cold) The waterslides were fun The location is in the center of sunny beach lots of things to do near the hotel ..our room was very big and comfortable... Food was tasty Drinks were ok also

Some more food diversity in the dining room wouldn't harm anyone:-) maybe add some Middle Eastern cuisine .

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. A large hotel, many facilities and not crowded. Well... it's not the newest hotel, but what it lacks in modernity it makes up with hospitality, cleaning and fun.

Too many people. Its a huge hotel and pretty crowded and noisy outside by the pool and restaurants. The sushi was bad and the clams were not cleaned properly before being cooked, but those that were OK to eat were delicious

Room door was damaged, not closing properly, we could hear all people walking on hallway, bad smell inside bathroom from drains, car parking very limited and not included in room price,popcorn not free, poor management for beach sunbeds and beach bar.

Swimming pools was nice, food facilities brilliant,loads of food variety,fruits, cakes, sea food.

Parking at opposite hotel , not free , but this is the situation everywhere in Sunny Beach so happy to have a parking space in the end , 2min away from our hotel

Great family holiday at Melia Sunny Beach , big shout out to Krasimira and Nikolay for helping with my daughter's birthday cake and table decorations , all stuff very friendly , rooms and toilets ,including outdoors ones , very clean at every point in time when the hotel was fully booked with more than 3000 guests. Very well organised, good food , great team work from all stuff members. Our room was huge , towels changed and cleaning every day We'll definitely go again

Many people put towels on the sunbeds in the morning even though they came late to benefit from them. The hotel management said they would collect the towels and apply fines, but I did not see any action.
