How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A bit far from the centre square
Everything is provided for a traveller. Supermarket nearby. Balcony nice place to spend the time after visit to the city.

Great apartment. It has everything you need for short stay. Host responds straight away and I like the self check in option as I've arrived late at night. Definitely recommended

Great apartment. Very tidy and clean. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning. Comfy beds, easy check in process. Totally recommended

Cozy and clean apartment. We arrived late in Plovdiv but able to check in via lock box. The host was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay

Bed was a little bit uncomfortable (there is a firmish foam mattress placed on the top of an older mattress) but we were so tired that we just appreciated we had a bed to sleep in :D Apartment had a little cigarette smell. It turned out that people are allowed to smoke inside in some places so I believe they are just used to smoke in their homes also. We opened the windows more regularly and it was fine. Shower doesn't have curtain or cube and everything gets wet when you shower but again this is just something you need to get used to in Bulgaria (I checked at least 30 hotels and most of them have the same solution). You may want to take a flip flop with you.
Host was brilliant with providing info about check in/ out, WiFi, key location. We were allowed to check in early. Great location for our purpose. Very cozy and clean apartment. Great value for money 👌🏼 Little soap, shampoo and shower gel were waiting for us nicely placed on the towels at the end of the bed. Size of the bed is great, sheets were clean and apartment was tidy. Host also provided tea/coffee biscuits and event tea towel. Kitchen was fully equipped but we didn't cook. I loved that there was a liquid soap at the kitchen as well!

The apartment is like on the pictures. Cozy, very clean, bright and well equipped. The host went above and beyond our expectations catering for all of our needs. Really goes the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Very thoughtful of providing some additional things such as: coffee capsules, biscuits, water bottles, detergents etc. Location was perfect, just 15 minutes walking from the main square. Key collection was simple with keys left in the keybox outside. There is even a free parking space outside. Highly recommended for sure.

Nice and comfortable apartment. Great coffee. Loved the balcony. Lots of shops in the vicinity. The neighborhood is pleasant. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Will stay again next time.

very noisy main road in front of both rooms, racing bikes and cars at night, to sleep with open windows kinda impossible

This apartment is an absolute gem. It had everything I needed for a good night stay. Cleaned to a high standard, fast Wifi, coffee machine, smart TV, AC, balcony etc. Keys were very easy to obtain with clear instructions. Host communication was great. Radoslav responded to all my enquiries very quickly and efficiently. I have booked again the apartment for my upcoming trip next month. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to explore Plovdiv in piece and comfort

What a lovely apartment. Clean and stylish. It has everything you may need for your stay. Location is great. Within walking distance to the main square and also you can find many nice restaurants nearby. The host is very responsive and helpful. We had good friendly communication during our stay. Will definitely look to come back when I'm next in Plovdiv. Thank you

When i arrived the property was not prepared. Still dirty, old bedsheets from previous guests. However the team member had arrived sometime later and apologised for not preparing in advance. The landlord however was very quick in responding to my concerns with the property not being prepared nor the key present at the time of arrival.
Convenient to the transport link connections. Close to centre. Quite neighbourhood
