Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAbsolute fantastic place and experience. It is a bit remote, so it takes some effort to get there, but the trip was well worth it. The very passionate people working at the centre are an inspiration for nature protection and conservation and we wish them all the best for the future. The stay was one of the highlights of our trip and it was too bad that we did not stay longer than just one night. Thank you for everything. Keep up the great work and spirit! Highly recommended.

United StatesThis was our second time here. Nujka and her mother are fantastic. The location is so superb. We saw tons of birds plus Egyptian vultures, Black vultures, and griffon vultures. Be sure to go sit at the gazebo in Gorno Pole in the afternoon, the griffons were landing in a nearby field and then shrieking at one another like the little dinosaurs that they are. We also saw white storks riding the thermals with griffons. So amazing!

United KingdomLeaving!
Nusha and her wonderful mum, Alaka, made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable and, although there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, Nusha kindly gave us a kettle so that we could make our early morning coffee (we're very early risers). We stayed for five nights and had breakfast, a substantial packed lunch and an evening meal with a beer every day. The food is good, solid Bulgarian fare and plenty of it - you will most definitely not go hungry. We met various members of centre staff who work for the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, all of whom spoke great English are incredibly dedicated and passionate about what they do. We had a great time sitting and chatting with them about wildlife conservation in the area and beyond. Our stay was incredibly good value for money - full board for two people cist us £320 all in. Best of all, 20% of that goes back into conservation of the birds. A truly memorable stay with wonderful people. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

BulgariaI wasn't able to use the Wi-Fi because the signal was very weak. Bathroom ventilation could be improved.
The location is the best you can find in the town. It is a very quiet forest area, close to the vultures observation zone and to the beach on Arda river. The room was very modern and clean, with fresh bed linen and plenty of fresh soft towels. There was a Daikin air conditioner, a mini-fridge, and a TV. Nice and clean small rugs on the floor. The bathroom was spotless - very clean and hygienic too, with good water pressure, and a lot of hot water. The food is absolutely amazing, it makes you feel as if you are at home. For dinner, we had homemade stuffed peppers with rice and minced meat and for breakfast - pancakes with white cheese and with sour cherry jam, as well as a nice espresso with milk. The staff is very friendly and cooperative, they gave us directions on how to reach the river beach and where are the best places to observe the vultures.

PolandNo shower stall in the bathroom, which is common in Bulgaria.
A small (just three rooms), well-maintained hotel located ideally for birdwatchers, because right next to the rocks on which a large population of griffon vultures nest. A quiet, secluded place where nightingales and scops owls sing outside the windows at night. Rooms comfortable and extremely clean. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. On site a small restaurant run by Nusha and her mother with delicious home cooking. The kind and welcoming Nusha and her mother create an extremely friendly atmosphere of the place, where you want to come back.

Second time I was there and it was even better than I remembered from the first time! For me this is the best place you can be when you want to explore Madzharovo and the Eastern Rhodopes. Nice, clean & spacious room&bathroom, good beds. A little fridge in the room was very convenient with outside temperatures of 30degrees. Inside the rooms kept nice and cool. Nusha, the hostess, does a perfect job! Not only for the rooms, but also to serve you the best food (dinner, breakfast, lunch packet) & drinks! Her mother is the cook and prepares daily fresh excellent Bulgarian food! They made us feel like home there! We spent 9 nights in total at the vulture centre (for wildlife exploration in the area) and everyday we we enjoyed the food, drinks & superfriendly service!
