How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our only complaint would be the bed was a little soft but then we like hard beds.
We needed a place to unwind after 2 plane trips and be able to wash clothes ( washing machine provided). We also had to pick up our stored camper. The owner helped us by ordering a taxi to take us to storage place, name and directions to a great butcher. There is a supermarket and other shops short walk away. Apartment was very modern, fridge was stocked with nibbles and drinks with prices attached. Plenty of hot water and room, lovely and warm with heating.

First of all, the property itself is really beautiful apartment that has everything a family needs. You could cook everything you like in the kitchen or have your ready made food bought just around the corner. Amazing location near different shops and coffee shops. Really convenient for travelling as you are in the middle between the airport and the city centre. What we found amazing was that you can arrive or leave at literally any time upon request and it makes your stay worry free. And last but not least the host is super helpful and kind. Definitely recommend it and will chose it for stay when needed.

There was a lot of construction around the building which made some noise.
Apartment is new and clean with everything you'd like. The host could not have been more helpful. Ordered me a taxi, answered all my questions. Great place to stay.

The apartment was a bit smaller than expected but well-equipped and newly renovated. It is very close to the airport so the perfect stop in the city after or before a flight. High floor and quiet, no noisy neighbours. Located in a residential area, finding a parking space can be a bit tricky but we were lucky to find one just in front of the building. Easy keyless entry, and owners were very responsive and helpful. Recommended !

Really nice apartment little bit outside of Varna city center. Local markets nearby and you can enjoy local restaurants and people.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property. Parking is on the street but usually there are spots nearby.
Everything in the apartment is brand new and super clean. Comfortable fold-out couch and comfortable bed. Full kitchen with appliances and utensils and food and water for purchase at a reasonable price. Very responsive host that answers every question super quickly. Convenient location. Highly recommend!

Renewed apartment in a safe neighborhood. All facilities were within walking distance. Free public parking next to the building. While I was busy with work there was a lot of staff to do for my wife and toddler.

It is in a panel neighbourhood, but this does not take away from the enjoyment. No other faults, really.
An apartment freshly renovated with a lot of love and style. Ultra comfortable. Has available street parking. Great Wi-Fi.

Location is depressing, the house is old, soviet style, the entrance, staircase and the elevator makes a rather dangerous impression at first. The air conditioner is only in one room, so in the sleeping room it gets hot very quickly in the morning, as the sun is from that side.
Good facilities, near the airport, convenient for an early flight.

Less pleasant area, old building. Although the apartment is beautiful, there was a bit of an unpleasant smell. The bed is not comfortable, there is no air conditioner in the bedroom. Crowded shower.
Nice apartment, close to the airport, fully equipped. The host was nice and gave a very detailed explanation about check-in which went easily thanks to him.
