The hotel had lots of character and potential, however, it does required some upgrades. I won’t stay there again.

At time of booking I checked the photos online, the hotel presented very nice, looked clean and bright on the website. However, when I checked in the property looked dark, gloomy and dusty. Given the property is over 200 years old it does required some upgrades such as upgrade on lightings, carpets and drapes needed some cleaning. I am extremely sensitive to dust so I sneezed and skin felt itchy. The owner needed to upgrade the hotel. Lidiya, the host was really nice.

Plovdiv is one of the oldest cities in Europe with history of more than 7000 years. I love history so I picked Hotel Hebros as it has a history of over 200 years. The hotel has lots of character. It was great to step outside and wonder through the old cobble streets.

The greeting from the receptionist could have been more effusive and helpful. There were issues about the keys being the wrong ones which was very strange. He kept knocking on the door to discuss this. Sadly, there was no restaurant serving dinner just breakfast.

Breakfast was good and the ladies cooking/serving it were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good and let us listen to Radio Caroline and check emails. Sadly, the hotel did not seem to have many guests but I guess its a quiet period for holiday makers. The location is great with the old town outside and the buzzing restaurant etc area just across the main road.

Breakfast chaotic...later than we were told....only black coffee available until the chefs turned up at 9am. No mention of promised lounge on check in. Brown water with gravel when trying to have a bath.

Like living in a museum as furnishings all antique, yet air con, fridge and tv all in room. Fantastic location in the old town.

Too many steps to negotiate and some of the furnishings needed renewing. The shower room was very small and only one person could be in the room at a time. Also the restaurant was run by another company and the breakfast was not up to scratch, ie no fresh coffee.

It was in a quiet area in the old town with many antique pieces of furniture so I felt like someone’s home as opposed to a modern hotel.

Great location, in the old town but also very close to the most lively part of the new town with bars and restos. The room was rather big and comfy, very clean and calm. The restaurant is also very good and romantic for diner, and the breakfast was way more than we could eat ! Staff was rather friendly and professional.

The air conditioner could have been more powerful. The shower cap did not work as a cap - more like a bag with no elastication. The breakfast did not reflect the quality of the rest of the hotel. There could be fresh baked bread and good coffee but instead it was very average. Scrambled eggs looked tired. The restaurant in evening is fantastic, so it was surprising that the breakfast was not of equal quality.

A very warm welcome indeed. Historical and very clean and spacious.

The air conditioning did not sufficiently cool down the room, which made it very hard to sleep comfortably. I want to be fair and note (1) that's a bit expected in a super old building and (2) while we were there was record-breaking heat over 100 degrees morning and night. But it definitely impacted our comfort. The breakfast was not great with a minimal spread that had been sitting out a while for the few guests staying there. The people working the breakfast were very kind and accommodating including bringing additional fresh cut vegetables out, but the breakfast buffet was not substantial and the food itself was a bit disappointing. The entrance to room opened up literally into the restaurant. The restaurant (and often-playing pianist) were just on the other side of our windows. We returned to our room to find that there were families eating at the table not 4 feet from the front of our door with loud piano music playing. It felt like, in the evenings particularly, that we didn't have appropriate privacy or quiet.

The location of the hotel was outstanding. We could anywhere in a few minutes. You can't beat the location - it was perfect for doing tourist activities and going out at night. And we wanted a fun experience staying in a historic building - which it was true to its description and a very cool experience. The staff was friendly.

We loved everything except trying to find the property. Google maps and the satnav in the car were both bringing us up steps!!!! If you are driving in and the Ramada hotel is facing you take the turn to the RIGHT just after the tunnel - ignore what google maps is telling you to do as you will just keep going around in circles!!

This was a lovely hotel, in a fantastic location for the old town. Breakfast was lovely although there could of been a bigger selection

At arrival the host told that there wasn't a restaurant in the hotel: closed!! Having a restaurant for dinner after a long drive is for us a reason for booking. Now we had to go outside. Heating in our room made a terrible noise, so we had to put it out.

After a long trip we arrived in Plovdiv. The hotel was hard to find, but eventually we arrived in the old Town. The hotel looks nice but has a lot of stairs. And a lot of antique.

When we got to the room, it was uncommonly warm, as the AC was set to 30 degrees Celsius: there is no reason to keep an AC at such temperature at any time; all the while, the bathroom heating was turned off, making it extremely cold; also, the bathroom shower was extremely unpredictable, with either too much or too low pressure, and took some time to heat up.

The room was significantly more spacious than expected and spotlessly clean. The location is absolutely perfect, right between the Kapana district and the old town of Plovdiv. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was not luxurious but more than enough and good quality.

The breakfast was ok and the WiFi did not work well or (at times) at all while upstairs. It worked fine in the restaurant and lobby.

The hotel is very attractive and in an excellent location. The staff are helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, and they provide very nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.
