Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaThe elevator was out of order during our stay. But we understand that it is a temporary problem and such things happen.
The apartment exceeded our expectations and offers great value for money. The rooms are spacious, cozy, clean and with pleasant design. There is a spectacular view of the Pirin mountains. We visited the apartment in the winter so we were worried that we might have problems with the heating but the two heaters available were more than enough to heat the whole place. There is a well equipped kitchen with all you might need for cooking but there are also good restaurants nearby. The place is perfect for a family with one child because there is an additional single bed available. It is also perfect for a business trip because the Wi-Fi connection is really good. Actually, it is the first place we have visited in a long time where two people can have separate video conference calls without any connection disruptions. And last but not the least, we appreciate responsiveness of the owners who addressed quickly all our questions.

BulgariaThe kitchen, particularly the area around the hot plate, was not clean. Additionally, it seems like the bathroom requires a more thorough cleaning. There was a slight leak from the water heater, and the sink appeared to be clogged when used for over a minute. The covers in the bedroom were too short, and the curtains in the bedroom were immovable. We felt not so comfortable there. We also found a hairball, which may have been left by the previous guests.
The kitchen was well-staffed with everything you would need. The view was just awesome. The area on the second floor with the couch and the TV was very comfortable and you can also enjoy the view from there. The apartment was big enough.

BulgariaThe main source of frustration was miscommunication between the owner and the reception. The check-in wasn't smooth. A receptionist couldn't find my reservation. We contacted the host and he helped figure it out, but the room wasn't ready (10 min before check-in at 15h). The room was cleaned in ~40 min which wouldn't be a problem if we didn't travel in +35 and had to wait. The cleaning was 2/5. There was a dirty towel left in the bathroom from the previous guests. Btw, the bathroom doesn't have ANY hangers for towels. The floor was cleaned with crumbs pushed to the corners. Bathroom floor had hairs on it. Dust in some places, dirty microwave, no soap left (we asked for it later). There was a whole saga with the towels. We couldn't find any large bath towels, so I asked the host if the reception could help us, he said - of course. One reception guy didn't understand our problem and again brought us small towels. On the next day I asked another receptionist to provide bath towels to which he said he is not sure whether he can, cuz we're staying in a separate apartment. I told him that the owner said it's possible, his reply was - the owner could've said anything. There is clearly a lack of understanding with the complex. Overall, the apartment looks better on the pictures than in reality. It's "tired", in dire need of deep cleaning and minor repairs. The mattress was sagging on one side --> back pain. An AC would be lovely, or at least mosquito nets. To sleep well in hot weather, you need to open the windows but then all bugs are entering. On our first night, there was a wedding at a nearby restaurant with very loud music until 5 a.m.! It wasn't the owner's fault but with all other issues, I considered leaving. On the check-out day, we had another present - the cleaning ladies entered the apartment at 8:50 a.m. without even knocking! We were half-dressed and having coffee.
Good things about the apartment - its size, view and swimming facilities.
