How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff at the White House were very friendly and helpful. Our car broke down on the Sunday morning and the Lady on reception organised everything for us to get going again Exceptional

Maybe the shower could be attached to the wall, not to the sink, but I am also not very picky about these stuff.
Nice view from the window, the hotel is situated on the hill. In the morning, you could get coffee on the reception.

The room need some update. The bathroom should be upgraded, cause the tiles are old, the taps are old.
The location of the hotel is great - very close to the center and the famous Kapana. There is a narrow street, but you can park free in front of the hotel. The stuff is friendly, you can get a morning coffee :)

Room could benefit a renovation, but not a real problem. There's no elevator

The parking is actually on the street, wherever you can find a spot. The air conditioner was really old, so some functions were obsolete.
The room was really clean. The receptionists were polite. The coffee in the morning was free. The TV has plenty of channels. The sheets were really clean.

You need to wait around 15min for hot water in the shower.

So many stairs to go to the room, no facilities in the hotel, the bathroom was smelling cigarettes, so the smell was coming to the room, what was really uncomfortable.
The view of the city is nice

Not enough lights ,half room is dark. There wasn't pressure on the shower at all. No lift ,room was on 5th floor ,we carry the suitcases 5 levels up.
Location only.Stuff was friendly.

The place needs renovation. The carpet in our room was really worn out and needs changing.
Very central location. Great value for money. Big room, clean sheets. Free parking in front of the building.

The bathroom was a bit inconvenient. When I was taking a shower, the water are not drained quickly and it was flooded
Friendly staff. Reception was closed when I try to buy a bottle of water and finally they offered me the bottle of water for free

As mentioned by others the shower/toilet is crammed and no cover on the drain . The hotel is up the hill and I had to climb to the 4th floor as there is no lift.
The location is the strongest point .Close proximity to the centre and off a quiet road so no traffic noise. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable .Cafe for breakfast on the corner and many restaurants minutes away.

The open-concept shower in the washroom. No shower stand, no curtain. Make sure you remove everything like toilet paper and towels before taking a shower. But it is doable and looks like it is popular with small European hotels. I would say I missed having a coffee machine, but in Bulgaria, it doesn't even make sense. They don't make coffee the way Americans do.
This is your typical small family-owned hotel with three floors. The room is small but comfortable with an excellent view from the window because the hotel is located kind of on a little hill, on a small stone paved street. So, if you are driving, parking could be tricky. Very close to the long pedestrian street with a lot of restaurants and shops. Also very close to the all main tourist attractions. High recommend you to take a free walking tour of Plovdiv. Google it.

Hotel is on a hill, just to be aware. Bathroom was very small, but for a cheap room this was fine. No lift, again this was fine for us but others should be aware.

Located on inclined hill and room was on the 4th level with no lift. Caution to patrons with disabilities or fitness limitations.
Good value for money and close to attractions. Located on an inclined street, so access is not for everyone. Room was comfortable with nice view from balcony.
