How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The breakfast was tasty but was a very small choice of savoury foods but still did the job.
Excellent location and great service. Tasty food there and overall a lovely little hotel. Cheap price and ideal really. If I were to come back to Sunny Beach I'd definitely consider coming back to this hotel.

The breakfast was ok, but could be more diversified and the parking price could be less.
I will tell you what I liked most: The beautiful🪴🥀🌴🌲🌳garden! As I still have my parents going frequently to the country side to work in nature and relax, I’ve seen and so I understand how much work is to grow and especially maintain a garden. Respect for the hotel owner’s vision and investment, the hotel manager and sure the gardener, for this beautiful green result thru (daily) hard work and positive attitude; it brings joy to the senses and great value to the establishment. 👏

The parking is small and there was no space for us. yet they told us we can park there, no problem. I was concerned about going somewhere and someone from the hotel calling to move the car so that they can get out. They could've told us that there is bigger parking in front of the hotel, but they didnt and we had to move our car a couple of times, because we already paid.

Breakfast was limited for my taste ,Would have liked more of a selection of fruit and yougurts Im a ceolic so i do bring my own bread.
the location was very close to all amenities .We had a garden view apartment which had a lovely seating area .The garden /green area was beauitfully kept a was lovely to walk through.The pool area was small but well mantained and for a week in july was not too noisy or busy, very relaxing

Breakfast was included and was ok but not amazing one of the days I asked if I could have scrambled eggs instead of fried and was just told no by a young woman she was very abrupt also I asked if they had chocolate spread for the pancakes or toast and again was given an abrupt no by same young woman Also would be great if a lift

I have stayed here a few times, the staff & cleaners are always friendly. The breakfast is OK & they change a few items on different days I would recommend Hotel Venus to my family & friends. As said earlier the cleaning staff work hard & the rooms are cleaned every day to a very good standard.

The shower was too small and as it had no division with the rest everything got get when you took a shower. Also the pool closed too early (6 pm) so although it was still warm and sunny you could not use it anymore.
Location. Nice pool, nice staff. The breakfast quite decent and the room comfortable.

People putting towels on pool sun loungers very early in morning and often not evening using the loungers. Some people had towels in more than one location around the pool but not using them whilst other guests where unable to sit and enjoy the sun, which let's face it is what the majority of people are there for.
Lovely clean hotel with extremely comfortable beds. Showers are very clean/powerful. Good variety at breakfast. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants and bank. Staff are pleasant.

no lift! we were on the 4th floor. 57 solid steps to climb. a bit difficult with luggage the bathroom flooded every time someone took a shower

Wifi signal was a little weak in our room.
Hotel has a really good location in Sunny Beach. Staff was very kind and helpful during our stay. Our room was clean and cozy. It's comfortable for longer stay also. Breakfast was various and delicious. I would recommend Hotel Venus for my friends and family.
