There were no outlets next to the bed.

I could enjoy seeing sea from the hotel. Inside was very clean, and all staff was kind. They also arranged my tour around the city.

We miscalculated or were terribly unaware of the complimentary drinks in the fridge, so my children had the missed chance to have them during our stay.😋😬

Access to the family-oriented facilities in one compound - bowling, gym and billiard pool as well as the nature walk along the beach shores. The buggy ride was a fun experience and efficient way for hotel guests to move around the hotel compounds.

Beforehand we realized that no alcohol was available.. .but still ...on a holiday trip it is a pity. Other then that..perfection.

This is not a hotel...it is an experience. For us a revisit after 20 years. Our compliments how well maintained the facilities are! The personel super kind. Thank you for the lovely time. You exceeded our expectations! The golf Course is magnificient! The fairways are spectacular.

All was good and no complaints for our stay.

Excellent customer service and a beautiful hotel. This is a resort which has lots of facilities such as the country club, cinema, golf course, restaurant / cafe and boutique shops. This property is huge and you can get free buggy rides to various locations at the resort. Food prices are very high (up to double or more) considering what the equivalent would be in restaurants / eateries outside the resort. If you do not mind the price and would prefer dining in luxury with amazing views then it’s the best place in Brunei to experience it. Location wise it was great for us because we needed to be close to the hospital which was the main reason for staying. However if your aim is more for sight seeing it is further away from the town centre and no shops are walking distance. The closest outdoor food courts are in Jerudong Park (theme park) and the price of foods here are a lot cheaper. There is also a restaurant and McDonalds at Jerudong Park if you are looking for a change. You will need to sort your own transport arrangements. The concierge can help book the taxi which is less than $15 Brunei dollars to Jerudong Park. Airport transport is $40. There is an app called dart which is an option for cheaper transport similar to Uber.

The F&B is a disappointment overall. Wherever you go or eat at anytime of the day, the food is 5/10…. The menu sells dreams and when food comes it is a joke. Buffett disappointing as well with lots of asian (chinese/ malay) options but far away to please a western. The Empire is still the best hotel of Bandar by far… the overall hospitality industry in Brunei that is far away from international standards in terms of F&B and service.

Pool is magnifique! Scenery fantastic! Pity that beach is not suitable for swimming. SPA is excellent! People has a great attitude to serve, very humble.

The quality & variety of both the Dinner buffet & Breakfast buffet were lacking and not on par for a 5 star hotel. After 2 days, I ate downtown.

The toilet did not have a hose, but it did have a bidet next to it.

The room was big and clean. The sights around the hotel were amazing. The kids enjoyed the 5 pools, playground on the beach and indoor playground. Kayaking was fun! The breakfast buffet was awesome with a wide variety of food.

I have now stayed at the Empire three times. It is an amazing hotel. The staff are so friendly and courteous. The location is outstanding, right on the coast and in very spacious grounds. There is a fantastic gym and spac facility. And the swimming pools are amazing. The food is outstanding. Breakfast is a choice of everything! And the restaurant is great with loads of choice. I will absolutely be staying again!

The hotel has very nice facilities, everything you need is there! Huge pool, big and very clean rooms, very attentive staff and not only attentive, but very well trained! The finish is of high quality, the gardens are well maintained. The best was the huge bed and the duvets! Still dreaming about them! The pick up from the airport had a personal touch which was above our expectations. Will definitely come back again!

Very pricey (expensive). Could have options with complimentary breakfast included. Could have some cafes or shops in the seaview building.

I was mesmerised by the hotel interior design. Very grand and beautiful. The staff were polite. I like my room. It's facing the sea. I like the bathtub. The bed was cosy. Halal food. They have souvenir shops inside the hotel. We can kayak around the swimming pool. Free for first 30 minutes. That's good.

Away from everything. Also, the place is huge and so many people stay there, although there is an army of staff one can sometimes feel they've waited for things.

As the name suggests, the Empire is a luxury hotel. Comfort is key and you feel always pampered. The rooms are comfortable and very big. WiFi is excellent everywhere. The massage is not to be missed, make sure you book the minute you check in. The property is huge, discovery on bicycles is an option (for a fee). Aside from the room service, there is an outlet (zest) that offers 24hrs quick bites.

    - all restaurants are closed, only one diner option - buffet (still - very good one, I have to admit). I understand and respect the Ramadan restrictions, but late in the evening? I am guessing that they just don’t have enough guests to keep the proper service level. - biggest pool and its surroundings without water and under maintenance. I know it happens, but nothing was communicated at time of booking. - breakfast far below expectations. generally - very big resort and quite empty, almost depressing. Very disappointing experience, especially considering the price and how this place positions itself.

Great comfortable bed and big bathroom.
