Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesPool towels are generally left on the chairs at the Cove pool. People aren't encouraged to place their towels in the bin when leaving the pool area, so chairs are hard to come by (all look occupied). I wish they encouraged people to remove their towels when they leave the pool area. There is so much to do at Atlantis, most people aren't at the pool all day long. Food is REALLY expensive and trying to get a table for dinner is difficult. Some restaurants take walk-ins, but they don't publish that anywhere. We ate most of our meals at the less expensive/casual restaurants, b/c reservations were sparse and not at ideal times. The billing system is unnecessarily confusing. We had a $250 resort credit. Instead of the final bill showing a -$250 credit and all the charges to the room in full, the $250 reduces your meal charges excluding tax & tip up to the $250, so what shows on your bill is just a note about the $250 and the tax & tip from the meal the $250 was applied to; you have to request another statement to show how the $250 was applied; otherwise, it's hard to see that you actually got the $250 credit. Also, we had gift certificates. If you have them, go to the front desk a day or two prior to checkout to get them applied. The front desk really struggled to get them applied, and it was super time consuming. It seems like the gift cards are handled by a 3rd party. It should be as simple as scanning the gc code by the front desk. The exterior of the buildings needs to be painted. We were on the 5th floor & had a concrete wall on our balcony instead of a plexiglass wall or standard railings, so you had to stand up and lean against the wall to see anything. It felt old & dated & something you'd find at a cheaper hotel. 50% of the elevators in the Cove weren't running. Elevators were packed and you had to wait a long time for an elevator during the busy weekend time.
Beautiful pool. Beautiful beach with clear blue water. Safe. Beds were super comfortable, Inside of the hotel was really pretty. Lots of good food at good restaurants. Service/staff was super nice and helpful.

SwitzerlandIf you stay at the Cove with kids you cannot use the nicest pool as it’s only for adults. Hence no need to pay extra for the better hotel, where the rooms are old anyway. Also we have a crawling toddler and the room had stairs so we asked for a barrier or something and they didnt help us at all. No kettle to make boiled water for baby food, we had to pay $4 every time, for boiled water! At the Cove pool there are no umbrellas anywhere, so where am I able to sit in the shade with my baby? That’s terrible. Also no umbrellas by the beach, also terrible. Nobody cleans the towels and the beach looks very messy. the sunbeds are all dirty with sand and other stuff and old towels. Plastic stuff on the beach and towels in the water, nobody walks down the beach to clean. The waiters have no hats and have to cover with towels when its rains, that’s not a good treatment. The gym is too small for all these hotels. In general, everybody can use all the facilities, so it makes no sense to pay more for the Cove. Also, they even let cruise ship people buy day passes, so even more people are there. No nice place to have a lunch by the beach in a nice atmosphere. Had do not disturb sign and they rang anyway, woke the baby… barely an excuse or anything.
The property has a lot to offer, different pools, the beach would be nice if serviced better…close to the airport and some friendly staff. Also good restaurants.

GermanyWe booked a room with access to the Lapis lounge, but be aware that the TVs are blaring at a volume that makes converstations impossible. All guests always tried to gather on the tiny balcony to escape the noise. So the Cove is a good choice, but don‘t go for the club lounge, not worth it.
less crowded here than the Royal, so good choice if you want the waterpark but not the hustle and bustle 24/7

United StatesThat none of the food/drinks were included as a part of the stay. The cost to stay is a little high and to not have anything included is not somewhere I would return or refer family and friends to visit.
Everything was great. I experienced a hiccup @ breakfast. The only thing that would sway my decision & referral back to the property is that guest have to pay extremely high cost to eat & drink. The cost of the stay should include some of the food/drinks.

United KingdomThe adults pool was like enduring spring break with drunk adults and booming music; not very relaxing or sophisticated. Difficult to get reservations at restaurants and lastly you have to say that the prices for accommodation and restaurants were five star expensive for what is at best a four star experience.
We felt that the Kids were safe, good variety of restaurants, gym facilities were good and beach was good.

CanadaThe food was terrible. We had breakfast at mosaics. The restaurant is very old and dirty. The carpet was a disaster. There was no a la carte menu so a simple breakfast was not able to be ordered forcing me to take from the buffet. I only had oatmeal. The bill was $120usd for myself and my husband. Complete taking advantage of us. So we only ate there once and Starbucks the remainder. The Seabreeze restaurant was also terrible. There was a hair in my husbands food. That is unacceptable. The quality of the food was far below anything we ever had. Rooms are dated. Im sorry we stayed here.
The staff were friendly.

Greecelack of vegan and gluten free options at the breakfast buffet. the quality of food at the rest of the hotel’s restaurants was average. No welcome drinks at the check in time, mini bar at the room was empty and we have to ask 4 times for the house keeping in order to come and arrange the sofa for my kids to sleep. eventually they never came and I had to find a way to do it by myself.

United KingdomAs with all Bahamian hotels the add ons. An $85 bottle of wine on room service menu costs $113 by the time it reaches you room that is a 32% hike. All Bahamian hotels use this form of fleecing, if only they could be honest about cost up front.

United Statesstaff were either hit or miss, some nice and others a bit stand off ish. I’ve been to other places in the Caribbean and have had better service. this was a major turnoff, especially completing to all inclusive resorts. even when we dined at a restaurant by the casino, the service was terrible. it felt we were asking for favors rather than being properly served.
the facilities were great, the view of the room and layout impeccable beautiful. the bathroom sinks needed some work, scratched and peeling. little details that did not make me feel we were paying what we had.

SwitzerlandThe price is at the level of resorts with significantly better quality and services around the world. The rooms are nice and spacious, but in dire need of refurbishment. We've had broken cabinet doors and chairs with painting piling off in the room. At this price level, this shouldn't be the case. Breakfast isn't included in the pricey room rate.
The Cove beach is beautiful, relatively quiet. Pool and waterpark are quite nice.

United KingdomWe had a disappointing meal at Carmine's (one of the resort restaurants). Despite booking our table wasn't available for 30mins so we gave up and sat at the bar. The baked clams were good but the sausage and broccoli pasta wasn't worth the wait. Also expect to spend a lot here. That's a general Bahamas thing though.
The views from our suite were just incredible. We also loved the adults only pool. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful and there's lots of great extras like the aquarium and the water park that you don't get at other hotels.

United StatesLoved the pools and the beach. Lounge chairs with covers were at a premium, you have to be early to get one. The Seaglass Lounge had music on Saturday night, a nice, unexpected bonus. The greeter in the lobby was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome when we checked in. Shuttle busses between different areas of the resort were great, if a little confusing as to where they were stopping. Dining at the resort is convenient but pricy. Overall, a great vacation.
