TV was on often in the dining room and a bit distracting.

Staff was very nice and helpful! Especially Albert who was great and very accommodating. Very polite and lovely personality. My upstairs studio apartment was perfect! Bikes and kayaks were a bonus. Breakfast was a good deal.

Our room's only window was in the bathroom, so it's easy to sleep too long if you're a person that wakes with the sun. Just set your alarm so you don't miss the sunrise.

Alan's is a cozy place right on the beach with clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and decent food, and a very laid-back vibe. They will collect you from and deliver you to the airport and, for us, even made a pit stop at an ATM since we weren't able to get any cash from the airport. The AC worked wonders and kept us nice and cool over night when we were in the room.

Another chair in the room would have been nice to accommodate 2 people but we spent many hours lounging on our patio with a great ocean view.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean and nicely kept up for being an older hotel. It was easy to walk to town and the pier. The bar and food were very good.

The place was a little old and tired feeling, room was a little dark and small/stuffy. A bit expensive in comparison to some much fresher feeling Airbnbs we rented on this trip as well.

Really friendly and accommodating staff! Nice to have access to the waterfront and my partner used the free kayaks that were available to go exploring one day. Was nice to have a TV in the room as well..

Clean, bright room, with seaside decor. Amazing shower- hot and great water pressure! The restaurant is reasonably priced and excellent food. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Right on the beach, private dock and bar on the water. We really enjoyed riding the free bikes and enjoying a morning paddle on the free kayaks. Very chill vibe, would definitely return!

The bed was a little firm and some of the furniture needs updated. We stayed in an awesome room with a view of the water, our friends were in a basic room, that was smaller and had no window. It was also very clean and a great value, but definitely a trade off.

Loved the location, close to restaurants and activities, but tucked away in a more residential area so it was quiet by 9 pm. The hotel was immaculate and well cared for, the staff was very nice. We ate breakfast there a few times but no other meals, b/c there are a lot of restaurants to discover in Placencia. The food was good and reasonably priced.

It’s paradise! On the beach. Free kayaks. Wonderful staff and owners! Restaurant on site . Good food. Walkable to the village. Can use their insect repellent if you forgot yours.

Need hooks to hang wet things (towels, bathing suits, scuba gear). Cockroaches (though I realize there may be no way to avoid this, in this area). Maybe updated/newer pillows and outdoor chair cushions.

Right on the beach, just a short walk to bars, restaurants, shops, dive shop. Really good food. Friendly staff.
