The location is just outside of San Ignacio and so you need a cab to get to and from town to explore. There were a few nights where it was difficult to get food from the hotel restaurant since they were accommodating large travel groups, in which case it would have been nice to have been closer to other restaurants.

The grounds were lovely and the staff friendly. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. A very relaxing atmosphere. I would certainly stay here again!

First, the property met our expectations. One night a larger group was in a nearby room having quite the party. They settled down by 11:00 so not a really big issue. I'm confident the staff would have helped us address the issue had it continued.

We preordered breakfast for excursions the following mornings. Very convenient and on time. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful. We were very late returning from Tikal one evening and they went out of their way to help us get dinner in town.

The food needs some improvement, especially vegetarian or vegan options.

If the menu were a bit better, this place would be a great long term stay. The cabins are spacious and well kept and the staff is friendly.

There were critters in the ceiling of our room and it was a little annoying when trying to go to sleep. But it did also was amusing. The wifi could have been better but if I really needed a steady connection I would just go to the lobby.

The property was beautiful and definitely curated a vacation vibe. The pool was lovely and the restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was very good.

Our deck area was very small compared to all the other cabins and the chairs had to sit sideways to fit.

Good central location for the area. Happy to have the pool with the heat. The food at the restaurant was good and a relatively good price. Liked that we had a deck to sit outside. Room was large. Glad we had the car because it was not walking distance to San Ignacio.

The breakfast was very delicious, yet we thought a bit pricey--however I cannot say how to compare because we didn't get a chance to go into town ever for a breakfast so maybe the prices are comparable.

Large, spacious room with air conditioning and a fridge. The draperies covered the windows very well and blocked the light allowing darkness if that is what you prefer. There was a small patio outside the door with a hammock and a chair. At night the nearby forest noises-- birds and dreamy nighttime nature noises under the full moon was magical. Once inside, you do not hear those noises any longer. The cabins were well spaced apart with gardens and grass separating. The multi-level pool was refreshing and allowed for people to enjoy different levels apart from other guests.

The check in process should include more information to help orient guests. The beds are not particularly comfortable. Another guest was extremely upset while we were there and was not able to get help from the front office, so she came to yell at the restaurant staff.

A lot of the things in description, like the gym, are non-existent.

The atmosphere is fit for someone who wants nature peace and quiet. Food and drinks were good. There's not much to do but closer to most of the major excursions.

The reception closes later in the day and when we went to ask questions at the restaurant area the staff wasn’t overly helpful.

The cabin style rooms were nice and it made it feel more private instead of a regular hotel. The rooms were a good size and parking was available too.

It needs some love as far as upkeep. Paint/plaster was falling off the walls. The shower head sprayed water everywhere. Things mysteriously showed up on our room table that we didn’t order.

The pool was nice. Loved the privacy of the cabin we were in (#5). Food was great.

There were 2 parties going on that weekend, so it was nosy and the restaurant was close those 2 nights.

The pool and bar area is awesome. The barman was super nice, the place in general is very nice

Initial A/C Problem: While the A/C issue was resolved satisfactorily, it would have been preferable not to encounter it in the first place. Improved maintenance and quality control could prevent such inconveniences for future guests.

Charming Accommodations: The log cabin-style accommodations at The Log Cab-Inn provided a unique and cozy atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. Convenient Location: The property's location in San Ignacio was not only convenient for exploring the town but also allowed for easy access to the Xunantunich ruins just a couple of minutes down the road. This proximity made visiting this historical site incredibly convenient and added value to my stay. Friendly Staff: The staff at The Log Cab-Inn were welcoming and eager to assist, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. Scenic Surroundings: The natural beauty and lush greenery surrounding the property created a peaceful and picturesque environment, allowing for a serene escape from the usual hustle and bustle. Proactive Problem Resolution: I appreciated how the management promptly addressed the A/C problem during our stay and allowed us to switch to a different cabin. This showed their commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction. Value for Money: Considering the unique accommodations, great service, and overall experience, I found The Log Cab-Inn to be a good value for the price.

The cabins are bit old, but very clean and comfortable.

The location is superb, the garden is and landscaping is fantastic. Great if you want to visit the local Mayan ruins or do birdwatching. The restaurant is excellent too. very good food. Very friendly staff.

The food wasn’t great— it tasted bland, especially the chips. But it was convenient to have onsite. The drinks were limited and all super sugary. It would have been nice to have non sugary options.

The beds were comfortable and the flooring was nice- tile, which helped keep the room cooler. The pool was great with 3 separate areas. Kids could play in one pool while adults lounged in another.

Wi fi was unreliable in the cabin but fine at the office. Our only real complaint is the noise of trucks braking on the main road, especially on Friday afternoon when we arrived.

We loved our cabin in well kept grounds. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch watching the birds in the trees. The pool was excellent and the service in the restaurant exceptional.

The noise from the highway close by was annoying as our cabin was closest to the road. big trucks with air breaks broke the peacefulness.

Lack of comfort - there was a tv but no couch or chairs to watch in and the remote did not work from the bed because it was too far. Only 1 chair to sit on outside though the cabin is clearly for 2 people. Very little hot water for 2 showers in a row.

Though the cabin are rudimentary, the beds in the cabin were clean and comfortable. The staff really strived to keep the customer happy and the laundry service were not expenses and rapid.
