Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesSome of the material choices used for the decor is questionable... There are wood based materials used in the bathroom, for example, which results in premature wear and tear.
The hotel is located in Dix30, with lots of parking spaces, restaurants, and shopping around. It's not far from downtown by car, and I personally find it more pleasant. The staff is very nice and helpful whenever we had requests. The rooms are not very b ig but they are well designed and use of space is very efficient. E.g. In the bathroom, they have a built in bench, which is something we rarely see, great place for your clean clothes, sit down while you change, etc. So useful.

It was a very modern hotel and very affordable with flexible cancellation policy and later check-out (at 12 pm). We were travelling for the solar eclipse and this booked this last minute. Yet the price was better than anything available considering how late we had to book due to a change in destination. The bathroom and rooms were very clean and it has a pretty lovely view since it is a tall tower and there are really no high-rises anywhere nearby. Lastly, since it is outside of Montreal, we have to arrive by car and there is very convenient free parking. The parking garage is part of the massive mall nearby, so there are plenty of spaces. We didn't do any shopping, because we were there to see the eclipse, but there are movie theatres nearby, pharmacies, fast food, and luxury stores (e.g. Apple). It was also close to the highway so it was very convenient to get on the highway to Sherbrooke.

Excellent location if you have tickets for the Theatre Manuvie! You can walk to the theater without stepping outside, a plus in winter! The rooms are very spacious, not noisy at all and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

CanadaNothing which is in direct control of the hotel's management.
They are still marking the bed-corners with coloured masking tape, so that clumsy old me can avoid stubbing my toes on it.....the Hotel staff began this admirable practice about 5 visits ago, and I'm quite impressed. Everything else is still top-notch (scroll down to my previous reviews for more info....I stay there usually once every 2 months throughout the year). That being said, the underground (free) parking and the great view towards Montreal on the horizon, if you're lucky enough to get a upper-stories room facing NW are still great features of the fine property. Keep it up, is all I can say.

CanadaNothing that's in the immediate control of the hotel & its staff.
Although I stay at the ALT Quartier Dix/30 quite frequently on my bi-monthly travels between the Maritimes and Ontario or v.v., I still claim that this property is exceeding my expectations.....as it's the 3rd time in a row that they remembered their "toe-stubber" customer and specially marked the corner of the bed with tape, to create a visible contrast between the black bed-frame and the black carpet!....well done (they must have gotten tired of my hints after each visits.....lol.) Although they claim that I'm their only customer stubbing his toes, I'm sure there are others, who are probably too embarassed to admit to it....but, I'm being told by staff, that management has decided to do something about it (repaint or bed-frames or change the carpets, mind you the tapes work very well). So, gross modo, I love the place - especially when assigned a room on the upper floors with the beautiful view over the city of Montreal! ....and, the great & free underground parking also deserves special mention. So, dear Dix/30 staff & management, keep up the great work. Happy New Year to all, with great health in 2024 and beyond.

CanadaI'm staying at this fine facility quite often on my usual travel-through the area, but there had always been something in particular which had annoyed me (for those who want to scroll down to my other ratings, will notice that the hotel's bed-frames have the same colour as the room-carpets, and this lack of contrast makes for some very sore, stubbed toes.....but, lo and behold, the Reception staff remembered my name upon booking and had their maintenance-staff affix masking-tape on the carpet at the two critical bed-frame corners, to prevent getting my toes hit again. Upon thanking them for their pleasant foresight, they stated that this was done "only for you". Well....thank you very much, and I hope that during my next stay, they'll still have some masking-tape left over. LOL.

United StatesThe major drawback of our stay was the proximity of a restaurant and dance bar located diagonally across from the property. Unfortunately, our room had a window facing that direction, and throughout the night, the booming music made it challenging for us to get a good night's sleep. We did not complain or ask the hotel staff and they very well may have changed our room - we were simply too exhausted from our travels to do so and opted to tough it out.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property due to its proximity to various stores and shops. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided invaluable assistance in guiding us to the train that took us to Old Montreal. Their directions were excellent, and their advice to use the metro instead of driving was spot on. The convenience of the train from the hotel made exploring all that Montreal has to offer a breeze.
