The room was comfortable and cozy. If I'm being picky, a little more space in the room but we never spend time in our room anyway so it's not that big a deal for us.

I like the self serve food idea. Food available 24/7, eat when you want. Loads of variety. Outdoor seating was attractive (intended to use but didn't). Lots of space and convenient for water, cycling and other activities.

There was nothing we disliked. We were even offered a larger room, given that our stay extended to 7 days, but we’re plenty comfortable in the room originally assigned.

The warmth and welcome provided by JT and Parissa and Elizabeth in a very relaxed and beautifully located spot that was a great jump off point for both exploring the Gatineau area of Quebec province as well as enabling us to spend some quality time with family just on the other side of the river in Ottawa. We were able to do everything very much at our own pace. Incredibly relaxing.

Absolutely perfect thank you both so much! This is a magical and relaxing haven particularly geared to quiet 40+ crowd. We are definitely part of that crowd and enjoyed talking with hosts and guests alike.

everything was great for us. Some older guests might find the spiral staircase to the bedroom an issue. John carried our suitcases upstairs for us.

John provides a huge selection of food, including many different kinds of milk, several different methods of making coffee, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, etc etc. for guests to help themselves at any time of the day. In addition, John and Parissa prepare a hot breakfast at 8:30 for anyone who wishes to have that instead of making their own. The location is fantastic - directly on the Ottawa River with park area opposite their inn, on the paved and separated bike trail that goes into Ottawa. There are several waterfront restaurants within walking distance. John also has kayaks and bicycles for rent. Cycling here and throughout the Ottawa area is wonderful as there are so many safe bike pathways beside the rivers and canals.

The property grounds were well maintained, the offered different seating areas, the view of the river and easy access to the biking trails . Access to bbq , nice ambiance .

The property is located on the quiet side of the river in Gatineau. It was easy to drive into Ottawa or you could take the ferry. Restaurants were walkable and the view of the river was nice. There were many places around the property to relax around a fire pit, lounge over looking the river. It was very comfortable and homey. The breakfast options were phenomenal! Eggs, pastries, breads, freshly cut fruit, yogurt, cereal. Our room, Aruba, was small but comfortable. Thank you John for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location along pathway for exploring area by bike. Easy ride into Ottawa. Great restaurant and pub options close by. Host JT was fantastic, and very helpful with recommendations. Breakfasts were delicious, and goodies were available 24 hours. Kokomo is a relaxing place to stay with a mellow vibe.
