How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The ONLY thing we didn’t like was the size of the bathroom. Not only was the bathroom small, the Countertop around the sink was very small, I do understand this is an old hotel - which is part of the charm. So I would highly recommend to others. So nice, so clean, so up to date.
Breakfast was great! Love the restaurant, decor and staff too. Everything was perfect.

The air-conditioning was very noisy and old, especially at night it can get annoying. Windows can't be open. The room was small for four people.
Walking distance to the city center with a lot of restaurants and cafes. The breakfast is good, but there are many cheaper options in town. The room was clean, but a bit outdated. Okay for a couple of days.

The building is a little outdated, but overall in decent condition.
The staff was excellent and very helpful immediately upon arrival. The location is ideal. You can park for the weekend and not have to move your vehicle. Bonus, the parking is free! Restaurant next door has pretty good food. Walking distance to great coffee shops and other restaurants in town.

the stair hallway is obnoxiously hot almost not able to breath in there, maybe crack a window or add some AC to the stairs!
location was awesome! we were there for the car show and able to get up early and park the car and walk back to hotel or anywhere we needed to go! highly recommend this hotel.

At least a few Level 2 EV chargers in the car park would be a huge benefit for EV-driving customers. For the price of the room, a free (rather than discounted) breakfast would be an improvement.
The breakfast in the attached Italian restaurant was delicious and the dedicated parking across the road was appreciated. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the downtown location is convenient. The "Happy Anniversary" package was very much appreciated!

I didn't like the inconsistent temperature of the hot tub
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. I liked the layout of the hotel and the gym area. I liked that it had a hot tub and I liked that the beds were comfortable. The staff were so helpful and very friendly and the restaurant attached had some amazing food

My husband & I road our motor bikes from Fort McMurray Alberta to Nelson BC. The Hotels location was perfect for as to park the bikes & stroll Baker street. Excellent day of exploring brew pubs & restaurants plus the locally owned stores. Funky little town with exceptional customer services everywhere we went.

We were on the far side of “downtown” so not really walking distance on such a hot day.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy. Shower was really nice, good pressure and I liked how the shampoo and soap were full bottles mounted on the wall. It was very quiet. Free parking.

I wished the windows opened. We all found it hot and stuffy. I think the receptionist should let us know we were getting a room without opening windows.
We loved the adjacent Italian restaurant!

The provided parking towards the late afternoon and evening was full. A business also uses it. We were lucky and got the last spot both times. Not sure where you park since it's all metered on the streets.
Reduced breakfast coupon next door was great. Great location and our room location was great as well. Quietest hotel room, I have ever stayed in.
