the location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff is always fabulous when I stay at this Canalta location. I always feel welcomed and taken care of as well as always comfortable knowing that any questions or needs I had could be accommodated.

No major complaints. Parking and access into the hotel could be a little clearer, but it is a very minor point.

Rocky Mountain House is a great location to explore the foothills of the Rockies and is within easy reach of Edmonton and especially Red Deer. We have stayed twice now at this hotel and think it is probably the best in town for convenience and value for money. Staff are always nice, the breakfast is decent and the facilities are good.

Sadly we had a family emergency and had to leave at 9pm to the hospital. Packed up and left to Red Deer. We are still waiting on a call from them regarding the charges, but they could be giving me a few days due to the reason we left in a hurry. I do not have anything bad to say regarding the hotel.

The staff was great. They made us feel like family. Gave us ideas where to go and site see. I even let the manager pick a painted rock for the flower bed. Would recommend this hotel over and over again.

On point! We have travelled extensively all over the world and have stayed in 3-5 star places most of the time. These guys get it: Extremely clean rooms, the thermostat is adjustable (and responds quickly), the showers have excellent pressure and drain, the bathroom vanity has space to place your toiletries, the rooms and the beds are big and comfortable with lots of pillows, the mini fridge is empty so you can put stuff in it, there are big desks and space to place your luggage, breakfast is what you need and the pool has a hot tub and a water slide. Last but not least, the staff is extra friendly and competent. Thank you for getting all the important basics right! Would love to stay again and can’t recommend enough.

There seemed to be sources of excess light in the room at night. I had to put a scarf over a light right by the bed and could see other sources in the rest of the room.

Pool facilities were great. Exciting slide, water temp in pool and hot tub were perfect. Some disappointment for our group because there were no little kid friendly slides. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I informed them about a drink that had been spilled in the elevator by another guest and it was cleaned up right away. The lovely woman taking care of the breakfast made pancakes for my grandchildren even though they weren't on the menu for the day. Also, the toiletries provided were good quality and I liked that they were produced by an Alberta company. Coffee station was well stocked and good quality.

Location is a bit far from the rest of town, but is only 5 minute drive.

There was a hot breakfast in the morning! The server worked had and efficiently to keep the trays stocked. Nice to have. The location is a bit out of town so if you want to walk around or go to something other than the nearby restaurant, you need to drive.

The room was a little on the warm side when we arrived (23C) in the room, but the thermostat was easily accessible.

The hotel was easy to find, convenient and staff were friendly. The room was nice, and we also enjoyed the pool.
