There were not many options for dinner in the evening, particularly in the vicinity of the property but that is not something the property should be responsible for either. But if you are arriving late, you may want to plan this ahead.

The location of the property, right by a lake, and the resulting view from our window was fantastic. The staff at the reception was also extremely nice and helpful. We arrived outside of the reception hours but the indications to find our room and to settle were perfect. We also hadn't realize the breakfast was included so that was a great plus.

Nothing - I wish we’d stayed 3 nights instead of 2

The Auberge is in a beautiful location. Set in their own extensive piece of wilderness next to a lake. We’d booked 2 rooms in the lodge but were offered a chalet in arrival (it wasn’t compulsory - we got to look at both options before deciding). The chalet had cooking facilities and space for family time. The owners were incredibly helpful and took us for a quad bike tour of the area to see beaver dams and to look for other wildlife (unfortunately we didn’t see any although there was evidence of moose footprints in the mud). It’s very well located for exploring the Tadoussac region.

Not enough counter space or towel bars in bathroom. Also toilet should have a seat cover for cleanliness when flushing and to ensure nothing accidentally falls into the toilet.

Better outdoor signage with the word “Pavilion rooms 1-6” would’ve been helpful. We were given keys to rooms 1 and 5 and my family ended up staying at the wrong room 5. We stayed in cabin 5 (rustic) because we followed the sign on the driveway that read “5 a 10” and the key worked to open that cabin door. My friend enjoyed a lovely modern pavilion room number 1: corner unit with windows along two walls with a gorgeous view. We also didn’t see pavilion room number 5 as it is located downstairs and we didn’t think there were rooms there. In reviewing an old email there was reference to this but I had forgotten this detail by the time we checked in, I only remembered the email said our rooms were not next to each other but were close. Cabin 5 is next to the pavilion. We only clued in when my friend saw room number 5 next to the breakfast room the next morning. Something was lost in translation with my very broken French.

The view at the pavilion was beautiful. The continental breakfast was decent. Friendly staff.
