How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing to complain about.
We booked at last minute and they were very accommodating plus we had our dogs with us. Loved the patio doors great for the dogs. The view was excellent we could see most of the city. The staff were awesome. Would definitely recommend for your stay in cornerbrook.

The location had no elevator which made it extremely difficult to haul luggage upstairs especially for seniors. As a result a one of our party members fell and smoked her head on the corner of the wall.
The location had a spectacular view of Corner Brook and close to shopping.

Its a two storey building no elevator so we had to haul all our bags upstairs & downstairs. Not suitable for seniors. They really need to upgrade their toilets way too low except for kids maybe.

There are no outside waste receptacles to clean up after the dog. We had to leave rhe baggies outside the door.
We appreciated having an outside door from the room to take the dog out easier.

I did not really like the location, very auto dependent. I hated the turn door knob at the top of the stairs. Why isn't this a push bar? It would be easier for carrying luggage and more sanitary re: covid and other germs.
The room was nice, the beds fairly comfortable. Nice shower.

Could have been a lot cleaner.. would not take off shoes. Stains on sofa. Dirty washroom. Dirty fridge handle opening. I would expect it from a $100 cheap motel but not a discounted rate and still paying $192. Very disappointing. Not at all understanding of our situation and change of plans due to someone contracting Covid. Nothing they could do for us. Never asked how our stay was upon same day checkout. Glad your asking about it here thanks!
She offered Coffee and Tea but they didn’t have any lol. Booked for a family member and friend. Friend got Covid and changed plans but couldn’t cancel room. Paid $192 for 8hrs. Place had a fridge that was dirty handle groove with dirt and crumbs just talking about it makes me want gage. Toilet was dirty. No housekeeping. Had to shower when we left we felt dirty. Would definitely not recommend.

absolutely nothing! this property was horrible ! and cost us a lot more than a hotel fee! someone drilled a hole in our gas tank that cost us over $200 to fill! and left us dry! we couldn’t drive our truck- and now have to do without it while it’s in the ford dealership getting fixed with a new gas tank that costs over $2000 !!! and leaving us without a machine for over two weeks. and NO cameras outside the building to catch the thief! comfort inn should give us back the money we spent for a night! horrible !!

The sound quality was very poor. Had to listen to neighboring rooms and doors slamming into the very early hours.

The location was very quiet even though there were many guests. The bed and pillows were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water for showering, and the fan/air conditioning worked well.

When you book a room with a king size bed you expect to pay top of the scale for it. You also expect to have a room that provides a comfortable space. This was a terrible room. It was cramped to say the least. Very disappointed in it. Won't be back. No breakfast was provided with the room either. Again disappointed. The hospitality industry has been moaning for the past two years about no business and to date they are still not providing room service every day. The room is clean (and sanitized) before we got there but no one serviced after that. Had to make my own bed and had to use damp towels from the day before.
The view was spectacular.

I didn’t like the first room we were given because of the tobacco smoke and the room wasn’t properly cleaned to my rate of cleanliness. We were given another room
