The location, it’s in the middle of downtown and a lot of sketchy people are around it. Someone broke the fire alarm at 3am on my first day.

It was super clean, spacious and wonderful staff.

Location is downtown. Although it is not the hotel staff’s fault, someone staying at the hotel pulled the fire alarm at 3 AM (no fire).

The king bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The view of the city was very nice.

I wish the keypad at the entry in the parking garage was working. But they were able to buzz us in if we pressed the ringer.

My wife and I were very surprised with the quality of the breakfast. We had expected the usual bagels, muffins, and cereal in a serve yourself setting. Instead we were seated and served a nice cooked breakfast of eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and I believe the toast was made from home made bread. Plus all the drinks and sides that would come with a breakfast. :)

The parking is quite horrible. There is a lot of construction and it seems as if water pipes may have blue during the winter time and there's not very much parking close to the door to go into the hotel through the elevator. The tiles in the shower also should be scrubbed a little better or the grout should be redone. One thing to be aware of is that the Wi-Fi is very weak. We had to hotspot our PlayStation because it would not connect.

The hotel greeted us very well and the room was a very decent size it had everything that we required for that evening. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I was also not expecting the senator suite but it was definitely worth it. Not too expensive and a great location.

We had a suite on the 4th floor. I'm not sure what made it a suite, but we noticed a hole in the back of the bathroom door, and the bathroom door handle was also broken. Parked in the underground parking lot, and when we left for the evening, it had quite a few people who shouldn't have been there. Made us worry about our vehicle.

The night staff was fantastic! Room was big and clean. Nicely decorated lobby.

- Lots of bums in the neighborhood. Lots of signs saying to keep valuables out of sight. - During my stay, twice heard people yelling in the hall banging on doors. - Decor is a bit dated but is clean.

The receptionist told me that breakfast was served in the LOBBY but it was served on the First floor. Resulting in myself and my Aunt missing hot breakfast and having to make due with granola bars and an apple. There was no hot water it barely even got warm. I ran the taps in the sink and the tub and got like warm water if I am being generous about the temperature. When my Aunt tried to bathe, every time she turned on/up the water the stopper from the tub would open draining the water, making it impossible for her to have a bath. The dresser drawers had peeling, sticky / dirty insides I just kept my stuff in my suitcase. The construction that prevented travel without multiple redirections because of wrong turns.

It’s beautiful, the solid real rock wall in the lobby is amazing, & the first floor wood mural carving is gorgeous. If it were not for the construction blocking Algonquin the hotel was perfectly centrally located only a few block from my medical specialist appointment.

A little bit too far from the airport ( $30-$35 by taxi), no shuttle bus service, the phone doesn't work in the room, the AC is too noisy, and regular breakfast is included with a free smile service. The building itself looks like from the 60th, not new. The fee shouldn't be more than $100.00, nice view from the window, lol Food shopping in the area: Metro store + good selection of wine/ beer, Shopper Drug Mart, Wendy's restaurant, Little Caesar Pizza, Tim Horton's, and Starbucks.

- Hot Breakfast was same everyday served only bacon no sausage no omelette! - entrance to hotel was messy and in disrepair! Filthy! - land telephone system in rooms did not work! Reported to front desk, did not care knew system was down! - parking garage filthy & pipes from ceiling falling down and not repaired - when asked for extra coffee pods only 2 supplied was told they would charge extra! - elevators were filthy & not cleaned or wiped down!
