How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The coffee was horrible, the only thing that I can say that definitely needs a serious upgrade. We tried it once and couldn't finish it.
The pool and Breakfast was great. The room was nice and clean.

The sink was barely draining upon arrival but I was very tired after a long, hot day on the motorbike and it wasn't critical to my comfort overall. It's unlikely this issue was not noticed by the cleaning staff as any amount of water put into the sink resulted in immediate backing up. I reported the issue and hopefully the maintenance team addressed it. The couch was not comfortable to sit on as you could feel the bars beneath the cushion.
Location, room, staff, parking were all good. The breakfast was above average!

AC couldn’t keep up with the heat! Rooms are somewhat renovated but definitely noticed signs of aging to the rooms.

The sliding door in my granddaughter’s room would not open and had a large crack near the bottom. I traded rooms with her as she and her boyfriend vape. Was wonderful that you were able to get us all together so I didn’t call down to the front desk
My kids ate breakfast and said it was good, lots of food, lots of variety

Check in took some time with all the people attending music fest trying to check in at same time..had to wait abit for our room to be ready
Overall...it went smoothly after finally getting our room...front desk staff were swamped...but they handled to rush with courtesy and a smile on their faces...hats off to them!!

Rooms facing the main road were a bit noisy if you sleep with an open window. Everything else was great. Hotel should keep older towels for pool area
Location is excellent. Amenities walkable. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Good value. Better than most hotels in Cranbrook, in this area and price range. **dining recommendation, walk to Perry's Family Restaurant, excellent!*** maintenance guy (sorry we didn't get your name!) Went above and beyond to help my husband when we discovered our motorcycle was having issues. You, sir, saved our holiday and a very expensive fix. THANK YOU!!

Check in was supposed to be at 4pm. We arrived at 430pm & waited an hour in line to be told that room had not been cleaned yet. Room still wasn’t ready at 6pm so we went to our event & when we returned at 10pm it was finally ready. Also, housekeeping woke us up at 815am daily (there was no ‘do not disturb’ sign) to see if we needed anything & did not offer to come back later to clean the room. So we were there 3 days with no room tidying.

The smoking area right outside the main doors. When we arrived there were several people out socializing and smoking and it really, really stunk. There is an area to the side of the building with doors from the lobby that would be a much better suited area if more was set up there. I guess the area is where it is under the carport for weather but it is not appealing as a non smoking guest.
The rooms on the backside have balconies which was nice for opening the door for a breeze and to let the dogs out with us.

Beds were very soft and pillows too tick. Neither of three of us had a good sleep.
Breakfast was really good. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room opposite of the main road and facing the pool.
