wifi is minimal

There are only 4 units or cabins in the one building. So book ahead! I was reserved in the end one. My name was on a white paper welcoming me and the light was on!! The restaurant is in the front building with the gas pumps. Walk inside, and there's a little store to the right and a small seating area for dining and a large kitchen in the back. Katie was the chef, and she was prepping for dinner. Chicken with pasta/w/tomatoes, and salad. Sign me up! Stew, chili, spaghetti and desserts were also listed. To top it off, I asked her if there was any music. Yes she said, but you might not like it! Why is that? I asked. She said her uncle has it tuned to Willies Roadhouse! Turn it up! I'm home! I said. Love Otis the dog!

Cabin with my last name posted on the door. Good night sleep with my dog on the floor beside me. Made coffee the next morning on the picnic table outside using a backpacker jetboil stove.

Wish there was a small fridge; they use a diesel generator so I understand why there wasn't one.

Great room - more like a little cabin. Exceptionally clean, comfy beds and nice linen. Hot shower! Picnic table just outside. Lots of outdoor space to walk my dog. Great (big!) Breakfast.

This is a hidden gem. Great food! And the room/motel was clean, comfy, and rustic. The mountains in the background are beautiful and it's a very short drive to the lake. Scott is the owner and told us a lot of cool history regarding Double G and was fun to communicate with.

One could complain about blow dryers and bandwidth and other frivolous things, but we were in the middle of a beautiful paradise- and very happy to have a lovely comfortable and safe place to stay!!

There are literally only 2 places to stay at Muncho Lake. And I am really glad that we chose this one. we arrived around 6:30 pm after having passed the other lodge 3-4 miles back. Admittedly, we were a bit concerned, as we seemed to be on the middle of nowhere! When we arrived, there was a sign on our door with our names on it. The door was open. We thought we were going to have to drive back to the other lodge to find food, which was not very appealing, considering we were going to have to drive in the dark on a curvy road near a lake with no lines, we were relieved to find out that they served dinner at this place. We had steak on the bbq, corn on the cob and perogies and we didn’t have to go anywhere. Everything was delicious. Our room was clean, comfortable and the beds and bedding were cozy. The water for showers was hot. There was a tv, but we did not turn it on. There was no coffee or blow dryer or microwave in room because they rely on a diesel generator for power, but it did not matter a bit! There is access to snacks, drinks, and has on the premises. Wi-Fi was limited, but enough to text family of your whereabouts and check social media weather etc. It was a very pleasant stay. po

it appears to be a gas station, but there was no gas! fortunately there was fuel about 39 miles down the road.

After the initial disappointment of the gas case, I was immensely pleased! extremely clean and comfortable. adjoining restaurant was great!

Quaint off-the-highway log four-plex with clean rooms, comfy beds, basic accomodation, excellent price, and amazing huge breakfasts in the restaurant. Actually peel the potato to make hash browns. Very real, no commercial vibe. Old fashioned, timeless, accomodation and food.
