How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We LOVED the idea of pool and water slide its the reason we booked the room, but the pool was VERY cold, my littlest one couldn't get in. My oldest tried to, but he was too cold. We will definitely be back if the pool water can be a bit warmer. A couple came in after us and refused to get in because of the temperature.
We loved the staff, they were so good with the kids.

the hot tub was disgusting, we were really looking forward to a nice soak after a day of shopping but we didn’t even want to get in

Way over priced for the 2 nights we stayed....way over priced !
Location....having a pool for kids .....close to restaurants & airport.....clean....breakfast....but it extremely busy around 9:30am...line ups and big wait for bacon

The pool area was sketchy. It looks like it needs to be redone. The hot tub was dirty. Only one of them was working. There was a white sandy substance in it. The whole reason we booked this hotel was for the pool area and it was disappointing. The breakfast was okay. There were no extra blankets or sheets in the room and when we asked for extra towels it took a long a time to receive them.
The things that they did good, they did really good. The breakfast staff was amazing. The beds were really comfortable. Rooms were clean.

We did notice a good amount of dust in the bathroom on the bottom on the vanity that looks like it wasn't cleaned and in around the vanity floor as well... bathroom being cleaned well is very important for us so seeing that was a bit disappointing.
We loved the location and the hotel is great!

The cafeteria was very dirty. The tables were not wiped clean. It used to be a nice clean place to sit and enjoy breakfast not today. The coffee station was very dirty. The coffee pots were empty as well the milk and creamer carafe.

Found parking spaces ridiculously small. The majority of vehicles there were SUVs so the size of parking spots leave barely space between to get in/out of vehicle and thus the potential for damage.

My only negative comment concerns the pool on Saturday evening of our stay. My daughter and another mother daughter were enjoying the pool when 4 teenage boys came in, they basically took over the water slide, so much to the fact that my daughter wanted to leave the pool area, as did the other mother and daughter. They were running and down the slide, climbing from the bottom of the slide to the top of the slide. Very unsafe! I know it is swim at your own risk, but these young men should have been old enough to know better. Was extremely nervous that they would hurt someone or themselves. I did mention it to the nice employee restocking the towels, so I am not sure if the situation was rectified or not.
Quick check in, was allowed an early check in, since I was travelling with my eight year old daughter. Staff was so polite and genuinely helpful. Fireworks display across the street was an added bonus to our stay! front staff even gave my daughter some halloween treats! The staff member working the breakfast area was very nice and helpful.

We stayed 2 nights and were told at check in that housekeeping would not clean the room because we stayed there multiple nights unless we specifically asked. Not a problem with bed sheets but we would have appreciated fresh towels, garbage removal, and replacement of the in-room coffee supplies without having to ask on day 2, especially after giving you the business and paying for 2 nights.
Comfy room. Wonderful breakfast selections. Nice staff.
