Our room was so nice and fresh, beds were great and the bathroom stocked up with some good products to use. Mr P is a very fun and loving man. We ended up staying here 2 times in the week as we felt so comfortable.

The bathtub was stained and the bathroom paint was peeling. The edges of the flooring were curling up and there was no comforter provided. The floor was dusty and stained in places, with fingerprints on some door frames and walls. The room smelled heavily of smoke, to which I am allergic.

The gentleman who checked us in was lovely and friendly, and the front desk sat in a lovely and warm area with understated decor. The decor of the room itself was alright, though very old and peeling. It looked like hand-me-downs from a once-nice hotel.

A lamp on the desk would have been nice. Plus a garbage can in the bathroom. Parking our vehicle right up to our door would have saved a lot of carrying some heavy things for a bit of a distance. However, it was not set up that way. There was lawn and a garden between our room and the parking spaces.

We didn't have breakfast with this booking. I liked the setup of the room. It was very appealing!! The beds were comfortable.

Electrical outlets without faceplates, air vent choked with dust bunnies, some of last occupant's garbage still lying in a corner behind the waste basket. This was on the low side of a two star experience. But that is what I expected at the posted price and it beat driving an hour to Owen Sound.

Cleanliness was lacking. Seemingly fresh stains on the sheets and towels. No comforter or duvet on the bed; seems like a basic necessity to me, especially in the colder months. No hot water in the sink and hardly and in the shower. The motel is directly off a busy main road with lots of traffic at all times of the day and night, and there was no latch on the door. Made it feel quite unsafe sleeping at night.

The staff were very friendly and great to communicate with prior to my stay.

There was construction on the site with loud music. When the workers finished for the day they were very loud outside with a lot of foul language.

The rooms are dirty. Dirt in corners, dirt on walls and around door knobs. Mildew in taps, towels have stains on them, tub was dirty and looked like it had a ring in it. Fridge was not clean. I had to clean my room before I felt comfortable in it. This place used to be cleaner.

The room is accessible and has a tv, bed and table with a fridge and hangers to hang clothes.

CHECK-IN: As I was approaching the property, I called to provide my estimated arrival time, as requested by the property. When I called I was asked to come into a portable that sits on the property upon arrival, to fill out paperwork. I explained to the man on the phone that I have severe mobility issues due to a back injury and just spent the day driving so I was in a lot of pain and could not navigate the portable stairs and asked if it would be possible to meet me at an accessible location instead. I called again upon arrival and was told to come into the portable. I asked if he could possibly bring the paperwork to my car instead as I had parked beside the portable. I was told that I need to come into the portable. The man then came outside and handed me the paperwork after watching me struggle. The whole interaction was disheartening and unpleasant. Disabled guests such as myself should not be expected and pressured to navigate stairs to a portable office, especially after stating twice that I could not physically manage climbing the stairs. ROOM: The room was pretty dirty, with visible cobwebs on the ceiling and dirt/crumbs on the floor. The smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. The mattress was dirty. The sink tap handles were full of mildew and dirt. The hairdryer had someone else's hair stuck in it. I saw several ants. The wifi kept cutting out. I placed a container of food into the fridge around 8pm. In the morning, the food was still warm because the fridge was broken. I had checked to make sure that the fridge was plugged in and turned to the coldest setting before leaving my food in it overnight. I had to throw out the meal I bought for breakfast. There was no coffee or tea provided in the room either, so I had to check out without having anything to eat or drink for breakfast. I would normally politely speak to property staff if I had concerns.

double bed should NEVER be offered for a couple. my husband & I do not sleep in double bed & this was FAR too small for us. we had the crappiest sleep. The location was under renovations & construction. was upset I couldn’t get breakfast when the sign clearly says breakfast & open but wasn’t. i was NOT pleased as I have blood sugar issues & had to wait to go up the road to craptacular Tim Hortons. we stayed back in August & it was better all around. this place I find has gone down hill. the main reasons for us to stay was bc they have deep tubs & it’s only half hour away from where we live. it was supposed to be a date night & it was horrible bc of the tiny bed. Definitely will NOT return unless this place really makes some changes.
