Walk up stairs to top floor with baggage, no hair dryer especially in winter. It’s an old stone building maybe 1700’s. Part of the charm, what can you do

Comfortable room and bed, did not feel cold. Got the top floor with Fortenac view thank you. Everything was clean. Excellent location!! Refrigerator and heater fan in room . Staff was communicative for arrival after 7pm when front desk closes

Nothing major, but the shower temperature was a bit tricky to get it right.

Amazing location with a nice view to the chateau. The room and beds/pillow were comfortable. Easy late check-in with clear instructions.

The other rooms are right next to / above your room and the walls relatively thin, so you can hear your neighbors when they are talking. Also, the bed is a little squeaky.

Amazing location very close to the heart of the city and right next to the Dufferin terrace. All restaurants were in short walking distance. Hosts were very nice and forthcoming and even an early check-in worked without problems. Clean and comfy room with a nice shower.

Would need a renovated bathroom to make it a romantic getaway for room 7 in which I stayed.

Loved the brick wall and old architecture. Lovely stay for my 40th birthday! Friendly staff (didn't notice it was my birthday though) and quick to greet me.

I didn't like that it was cold because the radiator didn't put off much heat. But the Staff was great and put a space heater in and a really cozy extra blanket. I was more than warm afterwards. Very cuddly.

I liked that through the king room , I could see the Chateau Frontenac and the water. I also liked the old style building halls towards the bedroom.

aside from some hassle with the coffee machine, we didn;t find anything wrong during our stay

The owner was very accommodating by allowing us to check in early and to keep our luggage at the property for a few hours after the checkout. The location is great.

I couldn’t work tv but I’m not familiar with smart tech etc so didn’t play around with it. I’m sure most would have figured it out. I didn’t need it.

I was looking for character/history not new/modern and thus suited perfectly. Yes it’s dated but clean and suits historical surroundings. It has everything you need

I would have liked some information about the history of the house. Who built it and lived there? It would be nice to have some printed information about the history of the house and neighborhood. The bathrooms are very small (but that is always the case with historic homes). The grouting in the shower was discolored and should be replaced or cleaned. The tub, toilet, sink etc. were very clean, but the discolored grouting doesn't look good. This hotel has great charm and if you appreciate old fashioned (1800s) architecture and feeling, this is a great place.

Beautiful historic mansion with carved woodwork, ornate chandeliers, etc. The location was INCREDIBLE! Right across from a beautiful park and facing the Chateau Frontenac, which you can see from the bedroom windows. It is a 1-minute walk to go to the Chateau and is within walking distance of all the sites and restaurants in the city. There is a convenient store about 3 minutes walking from the hotel. You can walk EVERYWHERE, no need for a car. Each room has a fridge and coffee/tea maker and there is a microwave in the lobby. Alex and Suzanne, who work there, are extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is very clean and has GREAT heat! (It was below freezing when we stayed there in November, but guests can control the heat in their rooms and I never felt cold.) Also, the shower has fantastic water pressure for a great shower! Also, crisp, starched sheets and comfy bed! It was also very quiet. My room was on the first floor and I thought I would hear people coming and going in the lobby all night but that wasn't the case. It is very peaceful and quiet for sleeping. I would stay there again!

Despite the fact that the room was really big, the bathroom itself was absolutely tiny to the point of being not practical. The interior is slightly dated but then again, in this historical neighbourhood, it is quite normal...

The location of the hotel could not be better, 100 meters away from the Castle and the Terrasse Dufferin, on a quiet and charming street, 300 meters from a busier street with bars and restaurants. The room was large, comfortable, with a great view on the Castle. The bed was comfortable and all amenities worked well. The staff was helpful upon arrival though they also seem to have an efficient system for when you arrive off-hours.

Only con is that there is no dedicated parking spot available but that's the case with almost all hotels inside the old city for parking, so one needs to pay for the parking at the parking stations.

The location was a big plus point, as it was walking distance from all the tourist attractions in the city. The property staff and hosts were very courteous and polite. It was very clean and comfortable. The room was spacious for a party of four and all basic amenities were provided. All in all a wonderful experience!

The bathroom left a little to be desired. It was clean but the shower was extremely small and the old tiles had stained grout - which made it feel dirty - but it was clean. The sink and counter was outside of the toilet and shower area. We were there for 2 nights and none of us chose to use the shower.

The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone that wants to stay in Old Quebec City. We had a beautiful view of the Chateau De Frontenac. The room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was very quiet.

I didn’t like the room, it was in back of the main house, quite plain. They gave us that room because there were three of us and we each had our own bed. But I would have preferred one of the rooms in the main part of the house where the decor is traditional and lovely.

Location was great. I have stayed there before.
