How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Barely a greeting from staff upon hotel arrival. I towel in room for 3 people. Unstocked room. Early breakfast closure. Worker yelling at people To leave breakfast area Great facility. Poor staff

The breakfast advertised was for a hot breakfast (ie. pancakes, bacon or sausage) and there wasn’t any of that. Kids were disappointed.
We liked the pool and coffee available throughout the day.

Everything was as expected, clean, comfortable and convenient to airport. A bit expensive, but worth it to stay in a nicer, safer part of town that is close to some amenities. We were very happy our dog could stay with us! She loved it and there is a grassy area for pets to use. Staff were friendly too.

Ice machine leaked all over the floor, and the breakfast was disappointing. They used to have hot items and waffle maker now just cereal, breads and cold hard boiled eggs that were a rubbery texture. Also paid more than I ever have to stay here. It was not worth the extra $$

Breakfast was OK, I did mot expect a lot, but it was enough for a quick breakfast before departure. What we liked was the pet policy. We had our small dog with us and felt welcome. Next door was another small dog and there were no problems. People can be more of a nuisance than pets.

There is a coffee machine near the breakfast area that is available throughout the day. Since my preference is to have a latte or cappuccino, I was disappointed to find that these options were not available. I also wish this hotel had an indoor pool exclusively for adults because the swimming pool area tends to be dominated by young children and their carers whooping it up on the water slide. I found the pool area overwhelmingly noisy and too crowded to actually swim. If that's your scene, that's great but, this wasn't clear from the website, and had we known what the circumstances would be, we would have opted for different hotel.
The breakfast offerings were somewhat limited due to novel coronavirus. All guests wore their masks as expected, unless they were eating, which was great. I found the decor and the convivial atmosphere relaxing. The staff was very helpful and great at making everything in the breakfast area move as smoothly as possible. The location is great, just 5 mins from Ladysmith and one of the best beaches on the island. This hotel features a nice and well-maintained area to relax outside the front doors equipped with seating, tables and a bbq. The common areas are as pictured, nicely decorated, and the staff are all very helpful and will provide visitors with a list of options of where to find restaurants and take-outs in the area. A supermarket and other services are handily located just 5mins away by car.

The breakfast offering was a bit blah but pretty bulk standard
A new property with water slide and pool which helped entertain the kids. There are a number of retail offerings adjacent to the property, including a gas station and Timmy Ho’s across the road

The rooms could have been cleaner. I realize that everyone is short staffed at present. The cushions on the window seat had hard candy stuck on them. The bathroom floor needed to be cleaned as you could see dirt and hair behind the door from previous quests, not swept up.
Didn't have the cold breakfast as we had a kitchenette in our room.

We had a short time stayed in the hotel with my family and friends.The breakfast was good eventhough not much option to choose.

Just tiny little details...night table only on one side of the bed. Breakfast could be a one hour longer.
Everything else was great, room was nice. Hot tub, pool and water slide were perfect. Also a lot of options around the hotel to enjoy BBQ, picnic and etc.
