How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed was not comfortable and bathtub was very small and slippery. We stayed for 2 nights but nobody showed up for cleaning and replacing towels and we brought it to their attention they said the rooms will be cleaned every two days due to short staff
The swimming pool is beautiful and romantic

We were there when kids hockey tournament was going on. Kids running up and down the hall at 2 am.
Nice hotel in the center of the action. It was clean.

This was my third time staying there and it is always a pleasure to stay at your hotel I have nothing but good things to say about the plaza hotel I even took my brother in law and his family and I cant recommend the hotel more than I do

The pool water temperature is not pleasant, it is very cold. Parking spaces in the interior are very tight

I wish there were specific times for adults only at the pool area because it's smaller than it looks like in the pictures and it could packed with 10 kids in the pool and spa Also I wish the sauna was working
I loved the room and the hotel has lots of entertainment it's also not so far by car to old quebec, parking was free and there is a mini market 8 minutes walk from the hotel. It was called in the alley

In our room there was no way to turn off the fire place so it was annoying when trying to sleep the constant flickering. And also the sink in the bathroom was clogged.

The lighting in our room was terrible. It was still darkish even with every light in the room on. It was also noisy.
There was no breakfast but we did eat in the restaurant for dinner. The food was good but the background music was too loud and not what I would call music at all. Rap is not my idea of background for anything.

The people in the pool at night where badly mannered. The people in the bar on the other hand where mostly tourists and super nice.
Thé bar was fun with the Latino band. I wanted to go to the pool at night with my teen kids but couples where doing weird stuff in the pool. Not the staff faults or the hotel but the ambience was just not welcoming in the pool, the people in it had no class to be honest.

Very little information at check in. Only thing was asked for was our visa card and told what floor we were on. I had to ask about parking. Never was told about any services or anything else about the place Apon arrival, just handed our room keys and took payment that was it.
Didnt have breakfast because we didn't know about it, location was was perfect.

Music in the swimmimg pool was very loud. Sauna was malfunctioned and the bathtub is very hard to go in and it doesnt fit in the decor. The remote control was desactivated at 11 PM so we could not use it anymore which we found super strange.
The fact that there was a swimming pool and they have a gym and sauna. It was very easy to register upon arrival and very nice staff. Overall it wasa nice stay but a bit expensive for what is worth.

Rooms are small. Floor 1 rooms are stuffy. AC only goes down to 21 degrees. My husband has asthma and found the air quality bad in our room. Loud at night also.
The rooms overlooking the pool are great for families. Lower floor rooms are very stuffy tho.

The road construction outside made taxi drives longer and more expensive. Not the hotels fault and temporary.
Very clean, comfortable bed. We did not use the Murphy bed but our friends did and they said it was comfortable.

Lack of included breakfast, and courtesy items at the counter (had to improv a tea bag string as floss as the front desk had no courtesy toiletries except in a vending machine, which didn't have floss anyways) took away from the experience. Very bleachy smell in room from being near the pool.
Good location and nice room, nice hot tub and pool. Short drive to Old Quebec.
