The breakfast served was great. If you dine in the dining room for an evening meal, like we did for 2 evenings what an experience, along with a an efficient, knowledgeable, friendly staff and vey attentive to detail. The meals served were excellent. Already planning our next trip for next summer. Can't wait.

The only problem was the outside light stayed on all night and was quite bright. It would have been nice to turn it off and enjoy the night. Was a little pricey for a one night stay but suited our needs.

The room was very comfortable, location was great and the on site restaurant was very good.

Louisbourg is a very small town with few amenities. The property faces the ocean with a great view to the front but the hotel and restaurant are situated on a large dirt parking lot as seen in the photos.

Immaculately clean with delightfully friendly staff. Close to the Louisbourg fortress, a wonderful place to visit.

We loved the rooms, they’re very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The property is in the perfect location, overlooking the ocean and you can also see the fortress. The restaurants on site are also very great and have high quality meals.

The room, the view, the beach access, the restaurant on premises, the staff, the celebrity owners and the fog. Also the close proximity to the fortress.

I was really looking forward to opening the window and listening to the waves. Unfortunately, the sound of the refrigerator running (gurgling) and the constant drip, drip, drip of the rain gutter made this impossible.

Breakfast was very nice! The location (with great weather!) was picture perfect! Very clean! Lovely staff! We had so much fun at the Bothy!

Amazing stay! Beautiful location - in good weather, & bad, it did not disappoint. The owners Colin & Justin are very hands on & visible. Extremely welcoming & work very hard to ensure their guests have a great stay. They are very ably assisted on reception by the charming Mrs Macdonald. Another great staff member is Luke J. - a young man who responded with alacrity. The rooms are beautifully decorated - tasteful, blissfully comfortable and immaculate. We enjoyed good food & drinks & Saturday night music was a bonus.

Small but important things to me. My room—non ocean view, was very light at night. Because the grounds were well lit and there were no room darkening shades it was hard for me to sleep. Also, I drink tea (breakfast and herbal)or decaf coffee. There were not options in my room for that. I would have liked instructions in my room regarding the restaurants—hours, for breakfast you don’t get a bill, but pay by table number, reservation number for dinner, etc.

Well decorated and appointed with wonderful facilities for restaurants. The setting is beautiful and staff all friendly
