How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Noise of garbage containers being opened and closed from our balcony when we had requested an ocean view months before and we were told none were available that night 🥹
The super friendly lady at the coffee shop attached to the hotel Coffee maker in our room wasn't working and l went down to buy coffees and she insisted on making me a latte and my husband a coffee, free of charge because of the inconvenience.

The hallways are quite loud from the room and our balcony didn't have much of a view.
The room was very beautiful, the coffee machine was a very nice plus.

Staff seemed lacking in training and hotel etiquette. Witnessed multiple conversations among staff about working conditions etc..) Mostly just unprofessional and not what you’d expect from a resort hotel like this. Staff need proper training on hotel etiquette so this is more an observation on leadership and management as it is on the staff was friendly and doing their best.
Nice facility. Friendly staff.

The hot tub jets were lacking pumping. The hallways carpets were pretty dirty

no proper ev charger for cars only had one extension cord. Its not safe for the cars and can damage charger.

No microwave and no table in the room for casual dining. Pool could use some upgrading, looking old and tired and a bit strange with a missing roof.

In front of our room, there was a tray of consumed food. It was there when we checked in and stayed there for whole night. It was removed in the morning. This food tray might be placed by front room guest outside of his room. But nobody removed it till next morning.
Staff is very warm welcoming and courteous. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are good and comfy. Air conditioning in the room is good in these hot days. Location of Hotel is very nice.

Awesome location on the ocean. Loved the garden gazebo facing the water that we used to read in every evening. Close walk to everything.

It would be nice if there was an hour of time in the am and pm where the pool/hot tub is for adults only
I was able to upgrade my room at time of check in easily and for a decent price, to what i think is the nicest room in the hotel.

It would have been nice to have a more modestly priced restaurant on site especially since the local restaurants all closed between 8 and 9 in the evening.
The hotel was in a good location and was bright and fresh. The Nespresso machine in the room was a luxurious touch. We enjoyed having a balcony although the view was not exceptional. Beds were very comfortable. There is a small cafe on site where you can get a coffee or pastry.

Location is great, right by the beach. Artwork in the hotel is lovely. Staff was very good, even if some were quite young they still did a good job looking after our extended family at dinner.

Really liked this hotel. You can tell it's had a recent update and they have done a really good job of it. The check-in staff were super friendly and helpful. The room had a superb view over the ocean, with regular fly-bys by bald eagles. The pool was a great size, so was able to enjoy a little swim. The restaurant was also really nice, we got to enjoy some live music while we were there.
