No air conditioning as it wasn’t in season yet. Fan that was brought didn’t work and then they ran out of fans. Front desk lady was rude and defensive when asked about it.

The hotel charged us $20.00 for parking which is OK but when we went to leave we had a $100.00 parking ticket. The hotel staff said that they would look after it. I guess we'll see if that happens. Fingers crossed.

There was no information about what was around/close by and the place was tired. There were a few things that need addressing - the fridge in my room was really noisy and woke me during the night every night. The flagstones in front of the single idea are brown so challenging to wheel luggage over smoothly. I think the place just needs a bit of tlc.

I liked the character of the place, the location and the staff were great.

The hotel location was great as it is within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores and banks in the area. Located along a major bus route. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was spacious. The staff were very helpful in helping me to extend my booking.

The air-conditioning in the room does not work very well. When you try to cool the room off to sleep, it doesn’t seem to respond very well.

The drop off area outside is supposed to be for 15 minutes but cars were allowed to stay for an hour meaning my pickup couldn't get close to the hotel which did cause an issue. My bedroom showed some signs of age and could benefit from a more thorough clean, but more than acceptable for a few days stay.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, the hotels position is fantastic, right on Whyte Ave with all its bars/cafes and shops within minutes and even a Safeway only a few minutes away. Decent lounge area to sit in front of the the very welcome fire in the hotel reception area. Loved the USB charging facilities in the bedrooms.

The poor lighting in the Parkade

The breakfast was awesome… There was so much selection and it was nice and fresh. I would highly recommend this to another person. The location was great. The room and bed was very comfortable. The only negative I would say about this was the distance to walk from the Parkade to the front of the hotel was an issue for me. There was no parking available for me in the front for the 15minutes. When I did get my hotel card for the room so that I could access the back door to the Parkade… I found it poorly lit and I found the stairwells extremely dirty. It would be nice if those could be power washed because they are filthy.Better lighting by the door would be ideal.

The room was stiflingly hot, couldn't figure out how to get the thermostat on the wall to make it cooler, if the window was open it was loud with traffic noise. I couldn't find the switch for the bathroom fan.

Check in went smoothly and we were able to find our room easy enough. The room was clean and I liked the shower stall layout. It's a handy location for me.

Was charged twice😡called several times to see why it still wasnt returned, took over 10 days for refund so had to pay intrest on that. I had originally paid debit when i checked in and they charged credit card as well, room plus deposit so I wasnt happy with that. Makes me hesitate on staying again

The rooms carpet had seen better days and the bed was a bit boxy/hard. Whyte Avenue has changed a lot, it felt a bit unsafe to be outside at night.

The hotel was located in a convenient location with easy access to areas of interest and surrounded by fun shops and lots of restaurants. The decor/vibe was traditional/charming and the room had some thoughtful extras. The room was spacious and functional.

Both the tub and sink may have been clogged as it took some time for the water to go down. I was only staying one night, so it didn't bother me much.

Location was great, it was relatively close to UofA where I had meetings -- I wish I'd had more time to explore the area. The staff was friendly and professional.

If I was to stay again I would not get a room facing 82nd street, partying and shouting till 3am and the fireworks were also a nice touch. But you are in a great location so what do you expect in a city.

Across the road there was a fabulous bakery. Parking was excellent too.
